#DebateThis | Sex Education in Schools Needs An Overhaul

article image placeholderUploaded by @DBPardes
I sex education in schools needs an overhaul. I want to debate that with you, but I want to read something from the article that I just posted here in the description that really defends my position that it needs an overhaul. It's important for parents to understand that the term sexuality is an all encompassing term, and it includes not just physical intimacy, but body image, sexual fantasies, vulnerability, emotional risk taking, gender identity, gender roles, sexual orientation, and sexualization

You. Good morning and thank you for this one. I would like you to share the article with me, if you wouldn't mind. My email is content contessa 44 at@gmail.com I appreciate this subject so much because I remember being a young girl and the sex education was so archaic, they hid the fact that we got periods from boys. Boys had their own separate conversations that later in my adult life I coined as that's where they taught you all how to be jerks to us women

What is the right way? @DBPardes

And so how do you therefore make sure that the message you're trying to deliver is well received in the manner it is designed to be and whether the message givers are equipped to handle that conversation in a proper way? And therefore that's where the ball drops in terms of what is the proper way, what is the right way

I've loved these replies so far, and I and I wanted to address that is definitely an issue, the age level, the person actually teaching, and their comfort level, what is associated with certain words that are even in the description I gave that trigger people to say that that's not age appropriate. And I think that's really, um, why why the overhaul has to happen

Hey, how you doing? You have King pop in. I just feel like sex education is well needed in schools and it does need to be in book form and explained on the board, you know what I'm saying? I feel like it should go both ways, you know what I'm saying? And I agree with you saying because of the simple fact it's like self, your inner self, your outer self, it's just all about the way you feel as a person

And I was like, I wish there was an open space for him to talk about these things and discover more about himself without relying on the peer pressure of other kids to decide who he was for himself. It wasn't even about whether he was gay or not. It's. Who am I? Regardless. And I think the ability to talk about these things have opens a little more space to do that

There's two ways this tends to work out in middle school. A lot of the women will tend to drive this sort of thing, or there's a few boys who have had early experiences where a lot of the young ladies want to get involved with them, I guess, for that experience and know how, I guess I could say. And the one thing I want to say to the guys is, like, you're not really missing out on doing, on waiting a little later

And you can discuss that sort of thing in an open how can I say this a more formal forum, right, that's not about where you don't feel at risk because they split the classes when they did sexual ed into all girls and all boys
