He's a collaborator, he's a community organizer. He really digs into the power of media. And I just want to have all of you chime in in the initial conversation here to talk about when you decide to be in a conversation, what is the trigger for you? What are you looking for to get out of that conversation? What helps you say, this was a time well spent?

I deborah, first and foremost, I want to thank you and Adam for this opportunity. This is definitely a topic that is front of mind for me, very conscious in terms of, again, making sure that we say things that matter, we say things that resonate, and especially us, as shepherds of a community from this digital medium, that we are meeting the needs of the community as opposed to ourselves else

@jameshicks pain…

And when we have the microphone and we're about to choose a topic and we want to sort of put a salve over the wound, people are feeling I find it very compelling to figure out how leaders choose the conversation topic, how they choose the guests they bring on, and how they push out the invitation. So people start talking. How do you feel about the experience of getting people to talk when they're in pain?

But again, questions and conversations that are relevant to the particular topic. So, long answer short, really. Just me being conscious and focused in the moment of saying, I'm talking with you as opposed to at you. Let's not pay attention to anyone who's watching, listening, commenting, and things of that nature

Hi there, James. This is Cheryl P, one of your Hicks news media community followers, as well as a swell cast beginner podcaster on this platform. I heard your interview with Deborah, and I just wanted to reiterate that I always like your great conversations. You facilitate great interviews over your platforms, your interviewing keenness. Your questions are always relevant. They're always clear and unbiased

@jameshicks what is your approach to talking to people you strongly disagree with? #AskAnExpert

It's. Hi, James. I'm curious to know if there was a time you were in the midst of a conversation with someone you totally disagreed with and how you handled being in the middle of it when you wanted to continue to talk, when you weren't sure, maybe if they were listening. Do you have any thoughts on how to navigate a situation like that? And if so, if there was an example you felt comfortable sharing. Thanks
