A NEW PODCAST TRENDS REPORT IS OUT FOR 2022. What does it mean for you?

article image placeholderThe 2022 Podcast Trends Report
Now it's comedy and true crime come right underneath that and celebrity and sports. So true crime really is on the rise. Basically, the new listener will listen to ads, 19% of them will listen to ads as opposed to the OG listeners, which were like they would just hate it and move away. The final area that I found fascinating was about ads. The idea that brands now are really looking at podcasts as brand awareness campaigns. So it's not just traditional direct response stuff

@DBPardes Podcasts in India, similar story #podcastsindia #cheerschatty #beerpodcasts #podcadtreport

It makes it so easy coming back again to podcast in India. So I'll talk about hard facts. Kpmg released a report in 2022 and it says that India podcast consumption increased by 29.3% in the first year of pandemic itself. So we all know the pandemic has been a big game changer and life changer the same for podcast as well. With 57.6 million monthly listeners, India is the third largest consumer podcast after United States and China

@CheersChatty007 @arish

Peter, thank you so much for your reply. And your numbers are really interesting. And also when we look at the growth and we look at the diversity of population in terms of what people want to hear, I've also been thinking about what subjects lean into longer format versus shorter format. And I would love your thoughts on this

#Podcast #analytics #learning. #trends #data

Hi, I want to. Hey, it's me Jack. I want to say thanks for posting the report. I finally had a chance to dig in a little bit last night so I'm gathering some data but I do appreciate the information and anticipate using it and I have found it pretty useful up to this point already. So I wanted to say thanks and encourage anybody else to pick it up. Take the time to look and you may learn something that'll help you moving forward

However long, make it short. #cheerschatty #sayitonswell #beerpodcast

Hey, Deborah. Good morning. And sorry I've taken some time to answer this, but I'll get to the point. Short alone, there's never a right answer. It depends on the topic, text and the kind of podcast that you're doing. So if you're presenting a research paper, it can be done in short format. Just put them as like bullet points and you're done
