We have a Free Voice here. To counter no free voices from Russia

article image placeholderNovaya Gazeta, the hard-hitting Russian newspaper, suspends publication.
And it was so hopeful for people because the Independent Television News Channel was suspended right after the war began, and we were all leaning into this wonderful publication. And now it's no longer with us. And I just want to dedicate this openness, this swell, this swell where I can take anything I want, a voice of dissent. I could be a voice of celebration. I could wonder about the weirdest stuff, and I could feel safe and emboldened to do so

Absolutely beautiful. Well said. So meaningful, eloquent articulate. And it makes me just extend gratitude that we have the freedom of press and speech to the degree that we do. And thank you for making this very meaningful, post

Yeah. You know, Deborah, I reflect back on that knit wit, Tucker Carlson. And there was a clip where he was essentially explaining how Vladimir Putin wasn't such a bad guy because Vladimir Putin never called him a bigot. And this was my favorite part. Vladimir Putin never tried to get me fired for disagreeing with him

Thank you for the swell. Thank you for highlighting the importance of this. I mean I mean, if you look at history, one of the first things that dictators and, you know, rulers like Vladimir Putin do is they cut off the free freedom of speech. They start monitoring the press. They start monitoring what people say in the Privacy of their own homes, and they start kind of destroying people's ability to have opinions that are different than what the government wants

Oh, this well, makes me want to share this with Dimitri. I wish he world hear this. I wish he world know that we are with him and for him. And that swell is here for him. Yeah. Thank you for your voices, everybody. And going to keep tabs on this so that keeps tabs on him and see where else he's maybe doing his work so that we can support him. Thank you. And let's continue. This homage to our voice is rising together

When you think of we think of swell. I think of swell as a safe space. You can come on and talk about whatever without really feeling judged or criticized, or even if you are being judged and criticized, you're not being attacked for it. But it takes that space to the next level when you remember that in so many places in the world, you'd you could get arrested or worse for hopping on an app and expressing how you feel. So we really are lucky to have this
