Coach Care is a professional basketball coach, former player, and he's the head of the Golden State Warriors. And he's an eight time NBA champion. And he's got have three kids he's my age. And last night he spoke so beautifully and so from the heart. And I just want to share that with you so that we can just be in his truth, which is our truth
It's just really sad how the United States is so money hungry and they're so knee deep in these situations where they don't even know up from down. They don't even know right from wrong anymore. They just feel like, okay, as long as we keep making money, everything's going to be okay. And it's not fair. It's not fair. This is why I don't vote. This is why I don't put my power or trust into anything political

How long mean, I understand how people vote, but for how long are they going to vote like that? I have no idea what it will take for people to wake up to what should be common sense

But I know I have words, but none that I can say out loud because none can ever really portray how horrible people must be to sit there and do nothing about this when they can do something about it. There is no words that can really like I think portray I don't understand what kind of person can sit there at their job where they could do something about this and then just not do it and then say things like, my heart goes out to you. Our hearts are with the families

It's been broken for years, and it's been more and more sliced and diced by Gerrymandering, all these horrible other things that are going on. It's the bigger system of a bunch of mentally challenged, mostly men who are sitting in seats of power, who have lost their way. And it's so ironic that Ted Cruz yesterday spoke about how it's not about guns. It's about us getting hard on criminals and immigrants and mental wellness like mental health people
So for them, they're seeing this as another loss and they're just turning their back on it like, oh well, like it's nothing. Some of them may deeply feel compassionate about what happened and they want to change the situation, but all of them got to be on the same mindset to do so. And all of them is not. They want to keep the HRA, have them keep doing what they're doing. They want things to continue to keep being this way

And I'm not one to sit there and get political on both sides because I got to be real with you. I don't have faith in either party. I think whether you're a Republican from a long time ago or a Democrat from a long time ago or what have you, it's not the party that you once, quote, unquote, believed in or stood behind. They're very different on either side

But we've got to continue creating the things that are going to make these people listen to us because all the things we have right now are not working. Voting doesn't seem to be working. There's got to be other ways we have to protect our children and our families and there are common sense things that we can do. But what are some of them?

You know, the single word that comes up to me for me so much, especially listening to you, is, you know, the power of listening to each other, but the power of Community 3.0 and what I mean by that is, to your point about voting doesn't seem to matter. The people in power don't seem to be listening to their constituency

I know that I haven't always done that, and I definitely know that I haven't always done it to the extent that I'm doing it now. So which is another reason why I appreciate you and I appreciate this app, because this, I think, is going to be phenomenal. What a great way to encourage and increase interaction Besides folks getting on the phone or sending emails, which I only check every three or four days anyway
