That's just one of the many places that benefit from the great work that Tullar does. I guess I can read from your website and tell people how you frame yourself there, but I kind of want you to do that for everyone listening. I'm going to link to Laura's website here so you can go check out all her work. I'm really interested in this latest book that came out

Here’s her fab website: https://talaresq.com/

@DBPardes

Hi. Thanks for having me here. It took me a few minutes to figure out how I'm supposed to respond to you. Hopefully, this is going to work, and I'm going to keep it short to make sure it works before I spend more time. Let me know. You got it

I found that it's really the best way to battle negative feelings and even depression when the focus isn't on yourself and it's on what you can give to others, I find that you tend to be a happier person. And so, I am the Salt Lake City chapter president of the Society of Orphaned Army and Relief

@TalarEsq boundaries

It's so interesting that we can project joy out into the world and suffer inside and millions do. Your messages are always consistently really challenging and joyful and full of like they're not Pollyanna. They're more like just connecting to the spirit of the moment. And I admire that. And plus, the stuff you work on as a coach, I imagine you're in a position to impact other people because you're probably very empathic because of your own journey

So the boundaries are under construction, and with practice, they're getting better. And trying to teach them to my nine year old son, which I feel like is the most important thing I could do, is help him learn these skills at a younger age, which is another one of the reasons that I decided to write the children's books is because I wanted to translate these grown up concepts that I think are invaluable tools for life

@TalarEsq Your emotional landscape at the end of the day

Or do you equate emotions as a big potpourri of being alive because you're a brunette Brown fan and so am I, and her Atlas of the Heart really does that great work for us and helps invites us into that conversation that there's so many emotions to have. Why just focus on happiness? How do you measure your emotional landscape at the end of the day?

@DBPardes

I don't really take an intentional inventory of my emotions, but unintentionally, I think it's a process of elimination. If nothing happened to make me think or feel unhappy thoughts, then I consider that a win and a happy day. While I've not read Atlas of the Heart yet, it is sitting on my bookshelf. Here my instructor for the certification with the life coach school, Brett Castillo. She also talks about all emotions, both positive and negative, being a part of the human experience

That's what shocked me about some of your posts is like, you really have brought the mental health conversation and the inside voice conversation to LinkedIn and I wanted to know what prompted that for you and when you started doing that. Because as you said, you're kind of more of an internal person. You're having a humble life and posting stuff that gets response, even if it's like 20, 30, 41 00 people. It's a very bold thing to do

And this isn't the same LinkedIn anymore, because before the Pandemic, it was the working, networking resume place, or the place you only went to when you're looking for a job or you're trying to hire somebody. It is not that place anymore. It's a very vibrant community of intelligent, kind, smart people supporting one another, having very informative conversations, most of them being a lot of civil disagreement, which is exciting

And I would love to figure out a way to celebrate your connection to those amazing women and having those connections and that vibe between all of you be shared with the world. And I think having an asynchronous conversation like you and I are having would be amazing. And we'd of course, share it on LinkedIn and make it a regular experience for people especially

@DBPardes

This has been a fun conversation. It's my first swell conversation, and I think it's a great idea to invite some of my coauthors to join us here in a conversation. So lets you and I I maybe continue that offline and talk about how we could make that happen. I don't understand well enough to feel like I can initiate that, but it sounds like you've got a handful on it. So I'm looking forward to talking to you more about it. Thanks again. Bye
