Let’s talk about insomnia - best practices found here!

And when did you find some really good results? And if you're just in the process and you just don't have results, please share that too. But I suffer from it tremendously. Now. I never thought I would. I love sleeping, but it fits and starts. And of course, this is for men and women. We all have biological clocks that are doing different things to our hormone levels. Whether it's testosterone, prodosterone, estrogen. We've all got those things

sometimes I still sing myself to sleep ✨👩🏻‍🎤✨

So I got off of it and spent most of my early 20s just sleep deprived. To be totally honest. And it really wasn't until I discovered and started regularly practicing meditation and any kind of yoga or consistent practice like that that I started naturally having more regulated sleep, and that's something that I still have to do now, because if I don't, I totally have terrible, terrible sleep problems again

Hey, Rachel, thank you for your post on Insomnia. It was really nice hearing your personal reflection on it. I have a slightly different take. I am an Insomniac. I have never been interested in sleep very much as a kid kid, I was the one at the slumber party who would actually be able to stay up all night even at age seven or eight

And if that's your last thought before going to sleep, I think that's going to cause anxiety and stress and will not allow you to get to sleep. The second one I think has been mentioned here. But meditation is something that I picked up over this past year, and I think it's been fantastic and a welcome addition and really helps me get to sleep. And I think there's anecdotal evidence for myself that that works

Yes, yes to acupuncture!

So I recommend doing some researching and looking if you have a community based Acupuncture puncture place where you can have more affordable access to it as well. So thank you so much for adding this on as well. Phil

One thing that I forgot to mention is especially when it comes to insomnia is watching the effects of alcohol. The older I get, the more I realize that the less alcohol hall is needed to really disrupt my sleep pattern. And I found that even after one beer in the evening, my sleep isn't as good, and I feel not necessarily lethargic. But I just feel more run down the next day. And I don't know whether that's because beer

So I definitely want to have a say on the matter of insomnia because I've been in some Insomniac pretty much all my life. Even as a little child, my parents had to and dance and do gymnastics in order to even get me to bed, never mind to sleep. And then the sleeping part was really around just driving me around the neighborhood. But actually my aunt was the only person that could get me to sleep. So I've not slept all my life
