But I wanted to share a moment that I had with him yesterday that really brings home how universal love is, specifically love of animals, and how Vanita really touched my heart. I was going to start this interview yesterday, but two dear friends of mine had to transition their 14 year world beagle. And we were all very sad and they came to my home and we had the doctor come and we helped her leave this form of her life

It's raining heavily in Bangalore while I record this Swell Note. I had a good day. I did a very fulfilling show today. My heart is happy today.

So I used to rescue a lot of dogs, cats, cows, calfs when I was a lot younger, when I had a lot of time, when the real world responsibilities didn't kick in. And I could be a stupid kid. But even back then, for me, if I see an animal in pain, if I see an animal in hurt, I could very quickly figure out a way to fix that problem

Loving the beat…

It impacts our body because of what sound is as a waveform. Speaking of sound and waveforms, I really was shocked to hear about your Guinness Robbic record experience. And one might wonder when you have something like that, when you could be so proud of gathering a bunch of people together to celebrate that art form. Was it ever something that you wanted to do or did it just happen because things kept on magnifying and getting bigger and it was an opportunity and you took it?

@DBPardes

I got my first job with a gaming company, actually full time job after which I sort of continued working on the back end of events, helping run events. I was like the Edinboy. I used to run around, put posters up, carry things for artists, carry the equipment, carry flyers, carry like a bunch of stuff that's required to run an event on the back end. So that's what I used to do for about a year and a half to two years

^ conversation continues

I started doing a lot of these gigs and slowly started bringing up the identity of a beat boxer rather than just a presenter. I will explain the bits about the world record in the next Voice Snow, but that's pretty much it. I hope I'm not going on for far too long. If I am, please tell me

A further continuation

I sort of translated that into this event. We called it. Can you say beatbox? And a fantastic group of people that worked with me. And my pitch to the management was, hey, give me these many hundreds of thousands of rupees. And I want to pull off two events

A little beatbox demo

Hope you like that. So the thing is, I started Beatboxing way into me trying to be a musician. I think I get a lot of my inspiration from the kind of music I used to perform, but I did tweak that a little bit to make it more performance friendly. So you'd ask me a question and I'm sort of trying to answer that, but I forget what the actual question was. Something about rhythm and where I get my references from or inspiration from

@VineethVincent YOUR measure of success

Wow. I just took a journey. I took a be neat journey. Incredible, incredible flow of information of, you know, there's a lot of threads here, a lot of continuity. And I really loved your your demo here. Just you have such beautiful of energy. Okay, I have to ask you next question. How do you measure success right now? Because you've had such fun, and your life is about fun. It's about connecting

@DBPardes

So for me, success is understanding where I need to be and what I need to be doing, because I come from a middle class family where money was always a difficult thing to come by. So just being able to make our ends meet at the end of the month was always one of those goals and one of those targets. And my single mom did a phenomenal job at doing that. She brought me and my brother up and she held down a government job for how long?

This got a little HEAVY 💚😂🥺🐻

And I couldn't think of myself as a dancer anymore. And these were a bunch of kids who would do shows in their part time. They'd work on the weekends as dancers and they would be in college, in the different dance teams in college, competing as dancers. Now, see, again, they were competitive dancers. There's something to that, right?

And I think it's really great that we're in conversation here because I think Swell is a great place for you to share those songs you have like you did before, and hear the voices of your followers and fans. So I look forward to more conversation here with you. I hope more people discover your talents. I know they will. And it's just been great to get to know you here
