We looked at workers rights, unionizing workers so they have time to vote. We looked at how popular culture impacts our perception of what civic leadership really looks like and how we need more of that. We looked at how the criminal justice system keeps people from voting. And we looked at the sports industry. It was an incredible event. Please look at the link I'm going to share with you, but I wanted to invite some of the people I met. I took pictures of them

1. Why did I attend? 2. A fact that burns in me 3. Emotion / action

I'll take the time to help them see how civic action and voting completely can change the life of not only their own experience in this country, but those that really need them to work on their behalf. Half. So it's really a circle. Anyway, those are my takeaways. And thanks so much for participating in this conversation. I can't wait to hear your voice

And I speak as a nurse, and it is more important than ever for us to keep our culture a Democratic, fair and just one. So thank you for initiating this conversation. I wish I could have been there with you. I look forward to the comments and the rest of your crowd talking about these issues. So important. And thank you because it is time to take a stand and to have our voices heard

The second, of course, and not second in line, but just the other one is, of course, the incarceration rates in the United States in particular, and the inhumanity of those incarcerations in terms of what they're in there for and how those humans lives are impacted because of the lack of concern or taking care of or taking time to really understand what happened to that human, how they got to where they got and why they ended up there. Right

Changing the #cultureofdemocracy means amplifying every voice and ensuring people can own their story, in this work. Part 1/2

Good afternoon. I'm really enjoying listening to this conversation and really just continuing on from what we received from the Culture of Democracy Summit. First, let me say that it was an amazing inauguration, real summit, and I was honored to just be present not only for the event on Monday, but for the start, the virtual event on Friday, and then the weekend events I attend

I think that is just the dedication to that is so important and that will help us continue to change the culture of democracy for us and for future generations. So very happy to have been part of this. Well and looking forward to engaging in additional conversations. Thank you
