Audio Memorial for Olivia Newton John

article image placeholderOlivia Newton-John, ‘Grease’ Star and ‘Physical’ Singer, Dies at 73
We have lost a great lady today. Olivia Newton John. Oh, God, was she an idol of mine growing up? I was in Greece. I didn't play her. I played Rizzo. But she had such a breath of of fresh airness about her. And I guess I grew up in an era when she was such an icon and the whole let's get physical things. She just busted out into the galactic possibilities of women in Lycra. I just loved her

Music. Thank you for starting this, Deborah. Olivia Newton John. She fought long and hard, this battle of breast cancer. Wow. What a loss to the to the community and what a loss to the world she did. Wow. I don't even have anything to say. Wow. Thanks for this, Deborah

Alanis Morisette's idol

She was just everywhere in the if you live during that time and you saw this, it's very tough to explain, but you peel away all the Internet and everything that we have at our disposal these days. It was just TV, movies, and radio, and she was on all three all the time. Just all the time. And I kind of have this memory of her being a woman's woman, and what I mean by that

Wow. Deborah and Avis. I am shocked. I didn't know this has happened. We've all been asleep in Australia, so it must have happened last night. And she's Australian. Of course. I live in Newton John. I'm really shocked. The let's get physical video that just blew me away. Deborah I was obsessed with the look that she served in that video. Not just the Lycra, but the colors, the audacity. And the same with the character in Greece

Hey, great to hear all of your thoughts. And I found the most incredible video that captures a nice spade to concert. It has all of her songs songs and it's all synchronized. I think it's a mash up. It's about an hour. Anyway, it's just so dated and so fabulous. And it just shows, man. She's up alone on spade carrying everything. I mean, no par techniques, no nothing. She's just singing her songs with her big pompadoo

Deborah, you'll be pleased to know that while I was at work today sitting at my desk I belted out but now there's nowhere to hide since you push my love aside I'm out of my head I'm hopelessly devoted to you and I mean I sang it at the top of my voice and was no reply from everybody else in the office. And then I clarified the situation by announcing why I had done so. Suffice to say, my colleagues are used to my antics

And then, of course, through the 80s, she had a bunch of hit songs, and I don't know, it's just another reminder of how short life really is in the physical world. And once it's over, it's over. Nobody comes back, at least in the body that they left in. So we only get one time around in these bodies. So make the most of it

Olivia Newton was for sure a very inspiring singer, and her journey was really very wonderful. And my parents are really very influenced by her, and they were really spade when and they heard the news. But I think that is the part of our life, and we can't do anything. But yeah, it's sad. But I'm also happy that I knew such a great singer and have listed into a song. Thank you. Bye
