Fiscal Conservatives tell me that our differences are economic, as if economy and white supremacy were not birthed out of the same history. People are reprising the role of black males as bogeyman by positing the idea that cisgendered heterosexual black men are the most deleteriously impactful people on the society, while white people are getting slaps on the wrist for participating in breaching the doors of history's most powerful Empire place of doing business. No one has listened to black men and boys in good faith
And it's like, of course, obviously I'm not going to be friends with these white guys who are like the boyfriends of my friends who are like, obviously just racist and don't give it a hoot. But I was like, are you not going to say something like that's? Who you're dating? Like, things like that. It's not enough for me to not be friends with people who are obviously racist and sexist
