Hey, swell. It's Rachel here on Election Day. I've been thinking a lot about leadership and what makes a good leader. And as I'm watching all the coverage today, think about all of the failures in leadership we've seen over not just the last four years, but obviously in other administrations as well. And we can even think about leaders in different areas of business and what makes a successful or productive leader

There's not a lot of leaders that I see that truly listen, take in that feedback and take in those inputs and are able to guide and structure a vision and a roadmap towards all the inputs and the output that the leader has, and then to further refine on feedback based on the output that leader has given. I think it's really key in my mind, but listening first is really that key that I think makes people ultra successful

Merely human. There's so much that you just said that I almost said verbatim to a friend of mine. A friend of mine started a business within the past year, and he just recently brought on a new and he was telling me about it last night and this morning and how excited he was and my reaction to him was, is this guy going to get his hands dirty? And I said, hands dirty almost exactly like you said

And the reason I'm bringing all this up is that sounds somewhat familiar, doesn't it? And it sounds like somebody that I know that is in a leadership position that really wants to be told what he wants to hear and make decisions from there. And I've seen this style in the corporate world over and over again. I couldn't put my finger on it until I actually witnessed it for myself. But I think that's a case. That's a style that you see

So that is one of the things that I find makes one of the best leaders is the ones that are not so high and mighty that they cannot come down off of their pedestal to meet with the people who basically helped get them to where they are because they could not be anywhere without the people below them. So yeah, that's my two cent
