On Sunday, it was announced that the Special Anti Robbery Squad, or SARS, for short, would be disbanded. But after what seems like countless broken promises, the people of Nigeria are rightfully expressing their doubts. Some protesters are calling for a complete rebuild or restructuring of the Nigeria policing system, a sentiment not all that dissimilar from those voiced by American protesters over the last several months. I have to be honest, I think that one of the only reasons that I even know about what's happening is because I follow Arsenal football club, and there's a large Nigerian fan base within the club, and a lot of the people that I know have posted about what's happening with SARS, and I've done my best to keep up with it and try and let people know over here what's going on, because unfortunately, as you probably are aware, the mainstream media is just all about the election right now
