Election 2020: Vice Presidential Debate Discussion
I'm sure that given the response to the presidential debate, this particular conversation might be a little bit more civil, but only time will tell. But this swell be a place where we could discuss the vice presidential debate. But please, as always, be respectful of one another. I'm really looking forward to this debate tonight. I feel like there's a lot to discuss, and I feel like both of these individuals have a lot to say looking forward to speaking about it with all of you
So Kamala needs to go in a little harder here. I think that Pence is probably winning this debate by a small margin. She's just got to go in a little harder. There are some points that I think she's missing, but I think she's honestly maybe focusing a little too much on being civil. But there's still about an hour left

I did think the moderator was a little weak and that she gave a little more time to Pence or a lot more time to Pence than she did to Harris, and she was not able to enforce the rules effectively. So I think the next debate should be moderated by Samuel Jackson

And I didn't think there was anything here and the things that I noticed tonight. I thought Harris was nervous, especially at first I thought she was nervous, and then there were certain times where that would go away, and then it would kind of come back. And I just thought she was nervous. And for Pence, he became more annoying than how I found Elizabeth Warren on the debate stage and continually running over time, completely ignoring questions and just answering his own questions

I'm also having a real problem with what's going on in general and the way that we elect our government officials for some reason or another. We expect the people who are running for office to be very smooth talkers. We expect them to be able to dazzle us with the things they say. History has taught me that effective leaders, effective business people do not necessarily have to be the smoothest talker in the room

I think the best part of the debates occurred on CNN and Fox News. You want to hear about the ability to spin facts. Wow

So if I had walked into this debate with no knowledge whatsoever and not knowing any of the facts, I would have walked out thinking Mike Pence won this hands down and my vote would have gone to him. I thought he was a lot more personable, even though he was a little aggressive at times and took more time than he was given. He was personable in comparison to Kamala's weird fake, smug persona, sometimes smirking

And why aren't we doing that for our elected officials? Why don't they go through a background check and a credit check? The fact that you owe $400 million and that you bank with Deutsche Bank, who has been known to be in money laundering schemes throughout time, why aren't we doing a credit check here? How are we allowing a person that is so in debt that's a security risk and how we're not doing that is just absolutely unfathomable
Phil, I think you're spoton here, man. It's a big, big problem, you know, as the saying goes, money talks bullshit walks. We're gonna find out very soon who he owes this money to, I think. And I mean, I could probably guess make a very educated guess as to some of the people this money is owed to. But a lot of questions are being asked. How did we end up in this position?

It's funny how over the course of time, this has completely morphed into something else, giving all the non populous States a lot more power. And now we have the complete opposite effect going on. I think either we take away the Electoral College or we just take away the rule that we don't allow the States to award all their delegates to one candidate. They have to award the delegates as each delegate. Where I mean like to the candidate that each delegate one

So I wanted to post a link to this article where they got a focus group after the VP debate and asked them their opinions. While the mainstream media is trying to put a positive spin for Kamala Harris, I think this focus group is very revealing. They thought that BP Pence seemed more presidential and they thought Kamala was snarky rehearsed and simply put, not genuine. I think I'm in complete agreement
