Announcer takes a pause after immigration tweets: Where do you draw the line?

article image placeholderGary Lineker pauses presenting 'Match of the Day' after immigration tweets | CNN
Now, it seems that the BBC has decided that it will step back from presenting Match of the Day until they've got an agreed and clear position on Gary Lineker's use of social media. This really raises into the question of where you draw the line. Where do you hold people accountable for their social media use in the United States? Just this week, the race caller at Oakland Park was let go due to tweets and stuff that they didn't feel was necessarily representing the values of Oakland Park Racing

It's a non story to me. I could care less what someone says about illegal immigration or racism or homophobic. I don't care. I really don't care here. It's a non issue. It's freedom of speech in America here. Unless you're conservatives like myself, well, then I get canceled. But it's a non issue. I could care less

@daily (To clarify, backlash from 1 side is not going to significantly impact an org w/a more centrist audience.) https://s.swell.life/STYLQdvHv61Az6F

So my standard preamble, I know next to nothing about these things. I'm thinking about the political landscape in the UK specifically, like, I don't know, the ins and outs of it from the political parties and how far left or right they have become to how those parties are influencing or being influenced by the media, how the media is being influenced or not by the parties, etc, et cetera
