Well, I'm kind of drained from last night, but I am interested in hearing Joe Biden, hearing them talk, see what you got to say. But my Lakers are on, too, so I got to priorities, man. You know how that is

So it appears that Biden as Vice President was still riding the Amtrak because Arrive is the Amtrak magazine

What did you all think of that joke that Julia Louis Dreyfus. Andrew Yang made about Mike Ponz Pants. However, they said his name. Did you like, laugh at that? Or were you just like that? Was uncomfortable? Curious about your thoughts

Love the dnc today, so far 💕

I don't know about the others, but I just think that today's been a phenomenal day at the DNC. I loved all the programming so far. And if this is the kind kind of quality work we can expect out of the Biden administration hats off. There was no sleepy Joe Biden in behind any of this. I just think I the DNC has been hots of affairs so far. It's

No breaks to Swell!

I thought his speech was just very rigid and not at all genuine and just I didn't think it went far enough, especially with somebody that has so much knowledge and background with I with Mr. Trump, but I'll get back at it and just want to say it has been tough to get a break to swell

Okay. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna go ahead and ask the question, is Joe Biden? Is it me or does Joe Biden look too old to be President? I mean, come on, people, let's keep this 100. Joe is old and I'm not trying to be funny. And I'm 53. I'll be 53 next month. And I'm saying this as a 53 year old, Joe is old

Empire. My grandmother in India lived a healthy 88 years in, you know, the modern age. We have RBG still serving us at 87 in the Supreme Court. I believe that in today's day and age, living beyond 81 is definitely extremely possible. Modern medicine has definitely come a long way. And, frankly, what's at stake in this election is not just the presidency, but it's also the democracy. It's the Supreme Court

And I thought that he did a really great job addressing the nation as somebody who definitely doubted him going into it. I have to say, Well, we'll well done

Biden’s speech hit all the notes. I hope it sings out to reach more ears

Such a huge fan of the way Joe Biden comported himself this evening. I thought his speech not just how he delivered it, but the contents of it were really spot on. I think he covered some very, very important topics topics and called things out in a way that just so necessary, his toughness, his warmth, his urgency, his composure, his whole carriage was just super beautiful. And I have a lot of faith that those who heard it really hurt it and took it to heart

When he was coming off the stage, when he finished his speech and the first couple of steps he took, he looked like he was about to fall down. Now, did anybody else see that? Or is that just me? Because I don't want to seem like I'm just over here s******* on Joe because I'm not. I'm just saying what I saw

So I too question the age of Joe and the age of Donald Trump, and I Marvel at the energies that both of them have. Having said that the thing that I heard from Joe Biden, who I hope to be our next President of the United States, is that he is a very smart person. He might stutter sometimes, but if you really follow his thought processes, you will learn that he is very capable of listening. He is very capable of making decisions

I know that the younger generation is very aware of the things that are going on, and I believe that the younger generation will make the moves that are absolutely necessary to better improve the world. It is my hope that Joe buys time so that the younger generation will be able to do the kinds of things that I really hope they will be able to do so that they can live the kinds of life that I want them to live

At the end of that four years, he'll be 81. And I know there's some older people out there that are still doing things like that. But Joe don't seem to be one of those. He really doesn't. Not to me, but we'll just have to wait and see. But that's a big ask
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 0:50
Wow. You know, Robin, I gotta admit, I never really looked at that. But just as you I was listening to you say that you kind of dawned on me that's, you know, that's probably what his plan is. Anyway, the whole goal for everybody is just, oh, let's just get rid of Trump. So nobody's really caring about what's in there. That's what we put in there. And I don't agree with that
@AverageJoe
Average Joe
@AverageJoe · 4:40
I hear it over and over and over again, and it said nowhere else. If you are getting on a plane, you would never say, I don't want the guy that's been flying planes for 40 years. Get me somebody who did something else all their life. No, I don't want the 40 year neurosurgeon. Well, maybe in that capacity, you might not want a 40, but you get what I'm saying. This is silly
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 3:36
It'll come to me in a minute, but they use a lot of big words and a lot of people, a lot of the common person that doesn't speak like that don't trust them because they don't understand what the f*** they're saying. You know what I mean? And that's the thing I noticed I've done a lot of reading in my life, and that's the problem I have
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 4:23
Okay. I just got through the swell. Yeah, I agree with everything you just said about without a revolution, a burn it all down. Revolution evolution, which I personally think that's really the only answer, because that's the way I'm a historian. I've read a lot of history. So that's really the only way. Generally speaking, it happens. Something catastrophic and traumatic has to happen unless people are willing
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 4:34
Because to me that's just accepting the bullshit and just saying, okay, here's the keys. Go wreck my car. Drive this m*********** in a ditch. That's basically what it is. So I don't want to do that anymore. I'm tired of it. I'm sick and tired of it. I'm sick and tired of every four years we got some bullshit candidates. You know what I mean?
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 1:16
And let me let me just say this real quick, because I just thought it is. My wife just reminded me last night. Please don't act like y'all didn't see this. When Joe Biden was finished with his speech, the first step he took away from the microphone. Tell me you all didn't see him. D*** near fall looked like he was about to fall. And his wife caught up to him
@Phil
phil spade
@Phil · 1:16

@Mtwadamela

But I didn't see that anybody else really caught that, though, until you mentioned it. And my parents are about the age of these candidates. And I've been noticing and I've really been kind of watching with a keen eye for some of these issues because that's what my parents have had health issues, and I've been watching the same. And so you just can't help it sometimes you kind of watch these things, and I've seen it from both candidates
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 4:21
And so I'm thinking about them, the type of stress and all that type of stuff that it takes to do this job. You got to be on the go. And one of my elder cousins right now is taking care of her mom, which is her mom is my mom's sister. That's my Aunt Nelly and my elder cousin. She's in her early 70s, so she can't do it because her health won't hold up. So it's just like that
@sudha
Sudha Varadarajan
@sudha · 1:50
So if that was not your first choice, then you would have been better off voting for candidate B in the first place rather than not voting or voting for candidate C. So I think that people who try to suit themselves saying, I don't like A and B, so I'm not going to vote or I'm going to vote C at least the way the system currently works, and that's not up for change. Right now you're eventually voting for one of the candidates
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 3:42
So why should I help either one? If one of them is going to win for sure, then why should I help either one? And neither one of them are going to be s*** for me. They're not going to do nothing for me. They're going to make s*** worse. Then why should I vote for either one? What is my motivation for that? There
@sudha
Sudha Varadarajan
@sudha · 5:00
And so for me, it is always look, if these are my two choices, I'm going to go with the candidate whose policies I would prefer, because I know in either scenario those policies, one or the other policies are going to get implemented, and whether my vote counts or does not count, whether it swell make a difference, it will not make a difference. It says Empress said fate has its own hand to play. But I have to believe in the process
@sudha
Sudha Varadarajan
@sudha · 1:05
While there may be so many other choices to pick from, then from my personal perspective, I would rather go and say, okay, if these are the two, then this is who I'm going to stand behind and go with that. And I hear loud and clear that we need change, and we need to ask for those changes and fight for those changes. But I think those kinds of changes happen with civil movement and don't necessarily happen with elections

Secondly, when you're saying making the airline pilot comparison doesn't work for you, I fail to see how we're talking about a job that requires skill level, that if wrong decisions are made, if the individual at the helm is bankrupt, of that skill level, people can die. Catastrophes will happen. See, this goes back to another point. Mtwo made in another thread
@Mtwadamela

@Mtwadamela · 1:21
Hey, Joe, I know I sound funny, but I'm outside physical therapy with my wife, and I got my mask on, so my voice sounds a little strange, but it had to only listen to a few seconds of your swell, and I'm going to get back to it because you said something, man. Are you crazy? Joe, are you serious? Do you really think Biden is more coherent as a speaker? Okay, I'll give you that
@AverageJoe
Average Joe
@AverageJoe · 1:27
But I saw you and Phil both saw the same thing as far as, like, able you take them both from a teleprompter. Take them both away from a teleprompter. If you were to have a conversation with either one of them, Biden will come off far more articulately than Donald Trump will is what I'm talking about. You see these memes, right. And I'm not talking about the fake memes I'm talking about. They just take a paragraph of an interview with Trump and post it
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 3:56
But there is a drawback to that. And that is that people who have been in a position for a long amount of time have a tendency to get stagnant in that position. And they can't think of anything new. And they're stuck in their f****** mindset of how to do things. And a lot of times when you have somebody new, it just gives a fresh perspective on stuff. You know what I mean? Now I can give another analogy
@AverageJoe
Average Joe
@AverageJoe · 2:48
And it's sad a lot of times people would say of Obama, like people just got behind him because he was a black dude and stuff. I don't think that's true at all. I think that he was young. He felt like he had a handle on where we needed to go as a nation because people make jokes all the time. But you think about it for real folks, there's that one cat that responded, I think in this thread, and he was 79
@Mtwadamela

@Mtwadamela · 2:02
But I think the same way neither one of these m************ should be running. Seriously. I mean, I don't know, man. Just me. If my nation is the most powerful and the strongest, I want to have leaders that represent that. And I'm sorry, elders. I mean, no disrespect but me the late 70s, ain't it? That's not it
