So I watched last night, and honestly, it was hard to find the words because I felt so uncomfortable by most of the speakers just because it very much felt like they were reading from some sort of script, and there didn't feel like there wasn't any emotion, really, and even the ones that were a little more intense, it just felt kind of forced, and I haven't been able to totally figure out the difference here between that and the DNC, which I watched parts of throughout all of last week

I will treat Night Two of the RNC the same way I treated Night One by watching something else last night. I enjoyed Superman Man of Tomorrow. It's a new cartoon. Fantastic. Fantastic. They changed the art style that they used to do in all the DC animated films. This one is more comic Bowie. I think they were trying to kind of rip off the Spider Man into the Spiderverse with more harsh black lines outlining the characters. And the story was great

Average Joe. I had made the mistake of taking a bite of my Taco before listening to your swell and I spit it out. So that wasn't very respectful of my plate or mine dinner. So there's that also, I think it's a good strategy to watch the highlights. We just saw Trump pardon a criminal, and it's very clear that this is supposed to it feels like a stab at Harris's history with convicted felons. So anyway, there's a lot happening already

Also, just to clarify what I was saying in the beginning, I think what watching this feels like for me is when I was taking introductory film production classes when I was younger, and it kind of feels like a poorly produced undergraduate mockumentary that isn't funny or a really badly produced reality show. I'm not sure. So just wanted to specify there, since I think communicating as quickly as possible is variant Port, especially here. Yeah

Suda, thanks for sharing that. That's really interesting. I have been curious about that, especially because I've been keeping up with everything that's been going on in Afghanistan with the peace talks. And Trump has been the adamant about saying how much he's reduced troops there and also by how much he's going to reduce troops. But then even in the Axios interview and he was pressed as far as numbers like real numbers, he couldn't or wouldn't say so. Interesting

I love the way that Larry Kudlow has said that the rising tide has lifted all boats. The only problem is apparently the people whose boats it's lifted other than the upper percentile don't seem to know. I guess they needed this Trump vention to tell them they weren't aware that they were doing better than they were for four years ago. Now they know

So I was just looking at, you know, Presidential pardons. I was very intrigued by the fact that somebody gets pardoned for praising the President at the RNC, which is a classic quid pro quo co arrangement from how I perceive it, but got some interesting numbers at Wikipedia. Links below

The other question I always have for Christians, which no one has yet been able to answer is if you examine the words of Jesus, just take a red letter Bible and look at the words of Jesus, which party policies are more aligned with. What Jesus professes is that the Republican Party? No, it's not. And the first thing that people always bring up is abortion. First of all, Jesus didn't speak about abortion

Dairy farmers facing extinction pre covid https://nyti.ms/2ExJhSD

So not sure who this dairy farmer they brought in at the RNC is. But dairy farmers were amongst the most hardhit groups because of the Trump tariffs. Even before we started feeling the effects of COVID, the New York Times had a very good article about how they were facing extinction and how many of them had Justin gone out of business in the last couple of years posting that here

The narrative on the media. So if you tune into the media which you are watching right now, you are being manipulated, except for the things that we tell you via the media, because those things are different, even though we are using the media to tell you. So listen to what we say, because that's the truth. What everybody else does is a lie and being manipulated, you're being controlled. Okay, I get it

Iowa realities https://bit.ly/32nuXEw

So I believe the job of the President is not just to help a state during federal emergencies, but to also ensure that the economy of the state does well and is not hurt by federal policy seas. I'm sure Trump is now running scared with Iowa becoming a battleground state. And here is a very nice article from a businessman explaining why Rowan is a battleground state and why we saw I believe the governor of Iowa was given an RNC address

My question is this is the soundtrack for the RNC available. The music that they're playing behind Mike Pence. And what about that Lock Cabin backdrop? Can I get that from my Zoom with cities

Yeah. You know, these speakers that the Republican Republicans have. I know that they put a lot of, you know, they got to pump them up and talk good about them. But they're horrible. I don't have no pony in this race. I'm just kind of objective looking at both sides, and they're both horrible. But they could have found at least some people that are better actors that have better acting skills. This is just ridiculous. It's just so transparent

My favorite part of the Trump public and National Convention tonight is the Speedcubers documentary on Netflix. It's a great little Doc about Rubik's Cube competitors. One is autistic and really interesting heartwarming tale. And to tie this back to the Trump public and National Convention, Donald Trump couldn't solve a Rubik's Cube if the whole g****** Cube was colored Orange. You know, he would figure out how the Democrats rigged the Cube or something. And yeah, that's it

Law and order - Rachel Maddow again!

You have to think that people like Peter Struck and James Comey and Andrew McCabe are thinking about that as law enforcement officials right now, hearing that the President will stand by them and fight for them is a historic Prince. Excuse me. I said it twice. Eric Trump speaking tonight, there is another piece of context that you should have. And for this, I'd like to bring in to the conversation our friend, Barbara Mcclaid, former US attorney in the great state of Michigan

You know, I was gonna wait until the first lady finished her speech before I responded. But to be honest, about to put me to sleep. I mean, it just dawned on me listening to this speeches tonight that they're speaking to their base. They're speaking to the people who think like they do. They're not speaking to me. They're definitely not speaking to me or nobody like me that I know. But I would say that they're effective in speaking to their base

No, Melania Trump is just a Wack Speaker as speakers go. And you know, let's face it, this is not a traditional political family. Donald Trump is not a traditional politician. And this is what I think is changing the paradigm. This is what it is right now. This is what it is. This is what people want. This is what moving forward. This is what it's going to be

@sudha

And what I find most disturbing about tonight is that we're just seeing the same thing again. As far as some of the rhetoric of the left being used and spun in a different way to make it seem as if the Trump administration supports the freedom to be oneself and live life fully and freely and happily more than anything else, as long as you're a certain person or a certain way or have all the exact same beliefs as this administration does

And to go along with what you said, Rachel, just a reminder that for the first time ever, the Republican Party is running for reelection with no political platform. There is none. They didn't bother with it. And let's face it, in the age of Trump, there really isn't a need for one because it's all Trump all the time has very little to do with what once was the Republican Party, and certainly a far cry from what was once conservatism you

What was with the naturalization ceremony?

Well, night two in the books. And if I thought there was an overwhelming theme to last night, I thought it was the declaration of Covet being over. And you heard that from a lot of people. A lot of people were talking about COVID being in the rearview mirror, what we're going to do, moving forward, forward. And it's just really frustrating to me to have this approach
@Mtwadamela
Mtwadamela Ijogo
@Mtwadamela · 1:54
They want to see reality, you know what I mean? So there's no doubt that the naturalization of fake ceremony he had last night was just to get boats. It's a show. You've got to try to appeal to people. That because, you know, you have a bad standing with immigrants. So you want to try to at least get some of them because, you know, most of them are not going to f*** with you

How was it? Swell. It's too bad because you really missed some great entertainment. But I feel you on what you're saying. You know, I understand why a lot of Black people don't watch that type of stuff. But for me, I like the entertainment aspect, and I like to keep up with what everybody's doing and saying so I can speak on it and know what's going on. Great coach on it, though
