Sports: Is VAR taking the soul out of football?

article image placeholderSources: Liverpool want review over VAR calls
The Internet blew up because this has been an issue that a lot of teams have been dealing with over the last few seasons. And today it was such an egregious horrendous call that it's really shining some light on VAR and whether or not it's ruining football. A lot of people feel that it's taking the soul out of the sport. People celebrate goals only to have them revoked a few moments later. Oftentimes I'm curious to know your thoughts

I think it does take away from the game. Taylor. I really do. I think some sports have figured out instant replay. Well, I think others haven't. American football and football, I think are two that it just doesn't work for me. And I know I'm I'm in a minority there, but oftentimes when you introduce that replay, like the situation you described, you don't always get the definitive answer that you're looking for

And if it does happen, it should be a matter of boom. It's done with the technology we have with the level of officiating we have, I mean, not the level, but the amount of officiating we have, for example, in soccer football, they're are four reps. It's unbelievable that this is what's happening. So I share your sentiments. Check this out

Yeah, Taylor gets to the point where it's like, this is not what it was intended for. And a prime example of that is baseball's instant replay. When that first came out, the players quickly realized, hey, just get the ball and put the tag on them and let the camera do the rest. And what ended up happening is the camera angle was directly on the bag, and they could slow it down to super slow Mo
