Your Covid Creative Response

I would really love to hear your thoughts on this because I'm of the firm belief that we need to take these stressful, complicated and incredibly difficult times to really process into creative work, at least for us creative. It's essential that we do this. So I'm just throwing it out there to see what you've been working on during this very difficult and stressful time. Hope to hear from you

Have you channeled your COVID19 stress into your creativity? I'm curious what you've done up with...

When Lockdown hit, I really wanted to sort of acknowledge explore that a bit more and take up some sort of hobby that I hadn't explored before, so I chose wood burning, and I actually really fell in love with it, and I wanted to link here a couple of things that I did in my spare time, but I found that it was a great way for me to destress focus on something other than the craziness that seems to be surrounding all of us right now, and I actually managed to do a couple of commissions and make a little bit of money off of it, which was not something I had intended on doing, but I had people ask me if I'd make things for them, and they insisted on paying me for my service

I love Lilo and stitch, so I had to do a Lilo and stitch coaster. This is one of the first things I actually did, and I was really happy with how it turned out

And sometimes I feel like that's nonsensical. And I try to translate a little too much into art, but I feel like in general, it's a healthy impulse. There are much more destructive things we could do with all these feelings. Right. And I was thinking today these things that I'm dealing with right now. What are some of the ways that the character in my book is dealing with these feelings?

I started painting during the pandemic

I think this is a really great question. And I've had a similar experience to Taylor, where about two to three months into the pandemic, I needed something to funnel my creative native energy toward. And I found that I was compulsively using social media and all of the politics that was happening in the United States last summer. And of course, into the fall was just really in addition to the pandemic was really not good for my mental health. And so I funneled that into learning to paint
