I went back to Extreme Collective Soul Saliva, just sort of like as a later reference for him, and it's been interesting because it's stuff that I would have liked anyway, when I was growing up in that time period, but just getting to go back and experience that music again made me feel like, okay, I'm calibrating in the right way, and I'm going to try to find moments that I can make the collaboration a little bit better through mutual inspiration or the right starting point

I used to be in a lot of different musical bands where I just sort of would drop into other people's skills and then kind of follow the lead that they were asking me to, and it was good, and it's inspiring to hear what you're doing. And yeah, I think also bringing people out is a beautiful thought of in the sense that we stretch other people while we stretch ourselves
