So nobody has to follow the same method I do. But in this case, I started out the subject line of it with all caps feedback, space, dash space, and then who the person's name is and something about who we were presenting to

Take the time to provide real feedback to people in the moment

The loop of gratitude

Hey, Jeff, I just want to thank you for being so specific around what feedback means in that moment that you feel that urge to communicate. It because I think people tend to have a moment of acknowledgement in their minds is like, wow, that was a great moment. But to take the action, to take that step and to provide that feedback is a whole other level of engagement

But we have a connection between Salesforce, which is our CRM platform and Slack, which is our collaboration platform, and to go and create a shout out for him there. And by creating it in Salesforce, which obviously creates a record of it, and it can tie to his workday performance review and things like that. It also puts it out on a public Slack channel for the whole company to see the whole roundabout of it is it was a really good response from all parties

I think little things a lot of the time can create a huge impact, even if you're not managing someone, but just in life, just like small compliments like that and kind of congratulating people on doing good. And this can also translate to doing the right thing for the world. I think it can definitely have more of an impact than we think. So thank you for sharing

Time

You know, I think it's such an important reminder. And I think feedback is a lot like coaching where you're making suggestions and letting people know what they're doing right, what they are doing wrong, where they can improve, where they need to keep the course and and doing that in real time, I think is so much more effective while it's fresh in their mind. And then it doesn't feel like you're ganging up
