Mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of being present and fully engaged in the current moment without judgment. It is a state of active, open attention to the present. This kind of attention nurtures greater awareness, clarity and acceptance of the present moment reality. One way to cultivate mindfulness is through meditation. By sitting in silence and focusing on the breath, we are able to quiet the mind and become more aware of our thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations
