Resilience & Trauma

And I just want to hear your thoughts because there is a lot of misconceptions out there and resilience, towards resilience and towards trauma and the way that we go about healing and learning to love ourselves through that trauma will happen once we remove the stigma and a negative conversation around asking for help. Again, resilience is innate. You already possess that. You just sharpen and polish that skill as you progress and go through life

This is a very fascinating topic. I think about it quite often. My mom's a therapist and shows talks about trauma with a little tea and a big t. And you know of trauma with a big t, of course, as I'm sure you already know. I do not mean to lecture you

If your kid is like me, who doesn't have a natural flair for resilience, I'm a little resilience resisting naturally. Anyway, that's what it was like in my white Jewish home with the main trauma in the background being the Holocaust. And my mom came from some big T trauma as well. So I don't know if this helps at all

To be resilient. However, it's important to be taught not about resilience, but navigation of your thoughts, feelings and emotions. And that's the difference between being self care and having resilience. Yes, the two kind of go hand in hand, but they also differ. So it's important to be able to know the difference between the two and have the tough conversations. Right. Don't be afraid to push boundaries in the sense of your limits for yourself and knowing how far you can go
