And when he got that feedback, he started to realize that he was doing some things that he didn't even know. They were kind of blind spots for him and they weren't helping. In fact, they were in some ways convincing the other people that they had to work harder to break through to him

Not that that's your employee, I don't want to label them, but oftentimes those people that do think outside the box are divergent thinkers and they do think that they have to armor up and defend themselves from personal attack or cover up who they are. And it's a lot of work

Fundamentally, we were all kind of living in a program, regardless of who we were. But some people with more layers to it than others. Telling us that we couldn't leave our house and sometimes even in our house that we couldn't function without masking up or doing things in a way that were not completely authentic. That we had to adjust our behavior, adjust our tone of voice, hold in our emotions, whatever it was

And so when there are any auditors that come into our workspace, that's part of our role, to be there to facilitate that process. And we're in what we call a command center, whereas all the VPs there in one spot, different support structure like it, et cetera, in case something comes up, it related and it specifically comes to the room. They see me as the point person working in compliance and facilitating the flow of the audit process

I'm just giving you all a taste with these questions. I wrote a whole blog on this this week. I had a Facebook Live, I have a workbook. The Armory and the way women interact with each other and with men, with people at different levels. Like all of it to me is just a treasure chest for us to get to know ourselves and continue to refine the choices we're making in intentional ways as we're trying to get things done
