How can you network without it feeling shallow?

You. Hi, everybody. I want to just start this conversation around networking. It's come up in a few different threads, especially people who are looking for jobs or rethinking their career and want to meet people in a different industry, maybe in a different city because you've moved but you're really looking for a new way to do that. And most commonly people are like, oh, networking. It's so weird and awkward and shallow and post COVID

@ChristineGrimm Alumni Groups and What About Bob?

I'm the one that is striking up a conversation with you hasn't always led to something, but I have met great deal of people, and I'm so glad that I do that because I've met some amazing people that way. Just a few more ideas out there for

All I know is that people need a tribe of people to help them and you don't know when that's going to be. And that comes to a point that Natham said, which is really important, like coaching your kids soccer team or just taking advantage of any time you are connecting with people, right? So that's the paradigm shift here, that I am asking everyone to just throw your ideas out there, throw your own experience is let's just move away from the old idea of networking
