Players are now able to fair catch on kickoffs with the resulting possession beginning at the team's own 25 yard line, which is equivalent to a touchback. Like I said, that means even if a kicker boots the ball short of the end zone, the returner can signal for a fair catch and still get the benefit of a touchdown

When I was first listening to you here, I thought that this rule was already in place. And then when I looked it up, I realized that it's in place in college and not pro. And I I watch a lot more college than I do professional football. So that makes sense why I thought it was already in place. And I know they're doing it for player safety, but this pretty much is going down the path where I think kickoffs will become a thing of the past
