I've reached my man quota

And yeah, I think this obviously exposes my own gender biases as well, which is quite interesting, because when I think of women, I think in a totally different way, and I'm a bit of a blistering mess as well. I'm really excited to see where this goes and where this takes me, and if it will even possibly indicate a change in my sexuality or the start of a change

Hi, Taliary. I just wanted to drop a quick message to say thank you so much for sharing this with us. And I really look forward to hearing more on your self exploration journey. In this respect, it sounds like it could be a really interesting journey and learning experience. So, yeah, if you feel up to sharing a little bit more with us in the future, then I would really look forward to hearing more about how that goes

Care & how socialization around gender impacts how we show up

And I think for me a question it's left me with is, why do I feel that way around these particular people who have a particular relationship to their gender and not with CIS men or male identifying partners or potential partners? And it kind of bums me out, actually, because I really want to treat everyone despite their gender identity, with the same kind of gentleness and care and curiosity

I also think it's worth mentioning here about Comp head, which stands for compulsory heterosexuality, which is a term made up by, I guess, like a group of lesbians on Reddit that didn't realize they were lesbian because they had been so like programmed into heterosexuality throughout their lives that they took things like male approval, like the enjoyment of male approval for love. And I do want to do a separate post about this sometime because I am pansexual

It's been really interesting, and I also just in general, find it fascinating how much our early socialization can have such a long lasting impact, and it can take many years and peeling back of layers to understand our attractions and what is love and what is because of power dynamics and a sense of identity that the world has forced on you rather than has been internally guided. It's so important to question these things, so really excited to have been able to connect with you about it
