The journey and the milestones

And my vision for the future is that in spite of multiple sclerosis being recognized as one of the 21 disabilities from the government of India, there is no one hospital or a rehab center dedicated to multiple sclerosis. I think that is the purpose of my life to set up one state of art online comprehensive healing center for those assistant with multiple sclerosis

Unkept promises

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but then I don't think there is any hope for people with disabilities in India. Even if you give 1000 years more. I don't see any change change in terms of accessibility or the way people treat us with sympathy or feelings. Anything lesser than that

Become more inclusive

The vision of Sarga Foundation is to provide equal opportunities to person with disabilities. So as an individual, you can help build bigger bathrooms so that relatives, your relatives with disabilities can visit your home. Your friends with disabilities can visit you. Second, if you're an employer, provide employment opportunities to people with disabilities. If you are in the educational sector, you can build Ranch to the classrooms. You can provide wheelchair accessible toilets

I show up, no matter what.

There's a constant fight going on within me to give up. But I think meditation and pranayama does help stabilize these emotions to a greater extent. And also the feeling I'm educated to a certain extent. And I have work experience working for companies like Mitsubishi ITC and Audi, the car company. So what is the point of having education and experience if you are not able to change your own life and deal with it with Grace?

I also wanted to ask you, Besides dealing with the situation of being differently abled, what has it been like as a woman with a disability in the Indian context, to be grappling with these challenges, as a mom, as a wife, your role as a woman in society. And even previously, I have read about how you have overcome several personal setbacks. Can you guys throw some more light on these instances and how they actually made you release more strong

When you are on a journey nothing counts

Being feminine is such a beautiful thing, isn't it? But I think being a woman in India is the worst thing that can have that can ever happen to anybody and me. Coming from a patron family where we were four daughters to our parents and me being the second one. My parents almost hated me for not being a boy, because if I were a boy, then they wouldn't have had two more daughters
