And she was also breaking into the palate of the Biryani Masala Dosa loving, conservative convictorian with a burst of flavors that Mughalay and continental cuisines had to offer. And of course, she walked into every heart with her delectable mud. Souffle Ranjana went on to introduce two more fine dining experiences on the Go and Cafe Tota Ram, which are amongst the most happening and enjoyable experiences that the city has to offer. She is also President of the Koimato chapter of the Indus Entrepreneurs Tie

Mud water not mud soufflé!

Welcome, Ranjana. It's so exciting to hear about you. I am drinking something here in Los Angeles called mud Water, very different than mud. Souffle I'm interested to hear about mud. Souffle mud Water has it's a drink in the morning, morning. It's got like four different kinds of mushrooms. Reishi, mushrooms. It's got turmeric. And it's got Chai tea. And they call it mud Water because it looks like mud and sort of tastes like mud

Ranjana. You not just created an excellent fine dining experience. You also changed the landscape of fine dining in Kombatok. What was your vision for that swipe food when it launched? And of course, why? That's why food. It's

My only prayers in life was that to move out from the report and go anywhere but not the report. Nine years I lived there, I made some very good friends living there, but I knew if I stayed there for long, I'll become a vegetable. So the opportunity of opening a restaurant came into my lap when my brother in law called me from Mumbai. Let's do something together. I chose Coimbator because I felt it's little more closer to thoroughpur and little more comforting

Ranjana, you went ahead and created two very drastically different dining experiences, which have also become fine dining landmarks in Koema Tour. What motivated you to do this

Maybe at that time since I wasn't too ready, I did not understand the ratio of infrastructure versus revenue return which we had a failure there. Number two was I opened one and placed furniture. That's why I put where my sister, who is a qualified chef, she was moving to furniture. So let's open up. My family is going to be there. Let's open a restaurant there

Thank you so much for that story and really look forward to hearing more. So my next question is, you know, it comes to when it comes to you as an entrepreneur, when you look back, what are other three things that you have learned to value over time
@Ranjana1504

So when I did the program with ISP I behave like a child who is just 1213 years old. And maybe I wasn't very academically driven when I was a child. Maybe the environment was I did not even know my potential to be very honest. And sometimes you need an environment who helps you to excel well and I give definitely I'm in a different baggage altogether. My grandfather freedom fighter, very hard life. Everybody has seen I'm from that kind of a background

I am running short of words right now, but Besides, your business is growing. That one element as a human being. Also, we all need to grow in life when you talk about the business. I opened on the Go in 2010 and 2014. I opened Cafe. By then my head was already structuring the growth how I want to take it to the next level if I want other funding. If I want to grow my business, how do I want to grow my business?

Being an outsider, a woman entrepreneur, and exploring a territory beyond your family's traditional business lineage. You have broken so many glass ceilings. Can you tell us about this journey
@Ranjana1504

You have to change in a scenario of our country bigger city, your business life of your business is only eight years. Then you have to change your business model, especially in a food business. And even the past 18 years, though I've given three branch to the city. But yes, we do have to do revamping. We do have to bring in the new people from outside, inviting chefs from outside to do their festivals

My only thing is that I am not working less than a man like me. Multiple women are working like me. But why give these special awards to them? So, yes, if people are listening to this, and if they understand, where am I coming from, I think we need to change this, not disrespecting the awards, what I have already received. But yes, somewhere we need to reform. We need to rethink. We need to redesign when we talk about about equality
@changemakers
@changemakers · 0:25
Ranjana, thank you so much for that perspective. I think it's definitely some food for thought within the industry as well on how we encourage entrepreneurship as a whole and not look at it purely on the the basis of gender. Then my next question would be, what are those habits or traits that you feel have helped you actualize your dream
@Ranjana1504
ranjana singhal

So when we are designed like that, we should behave also like that at the same time we have to make sure when you are happy person, you will be happy at work. Also. Right. And when you're happy at work, your performance will be double. So when you're unhappy at home, how do you perform? Good. So we have to make sure that what we feel we should communicate with our family. So articulation of your thoughts are very important

Princess, thank you so much for these very practical insights. And I hope that a lot of budding entrepreneurs. I hate to say this, but women entrepreneurs take a leaf out of your book and understand how important balance is across all sets of life. Now could you tell us a little more about your role in Thai

Commitment is required and I had to again maintain a balance between my business, my home and again other organization. So if you ask me initially I was a little reluctant because it was out of my comfort zone. I am from a very happy co lucky person from Delhi. Then first generation entrepreneur came to co inventor, so used to other comforting environment, which I have not suddenly it's like I'm in the ocean where people are much more knowledgeable and much more arrived in life and being within themselves

Time has come for his aspiration his ambition and me as a mother and my husband. Both of us need to push and make sure that our son also fly high and whatever he wishes to do in life, he should do that. So I think lot of space has to be given to each other, whether it being friends or in the business. The space is very important and learning. Sometimes you may not accept your Faulties, your fault, your debacles, or maybe your ego comes in between

They wrote us a beautiful thank you message to me, all my siblings. If we give space to each other and if we trust each other, business can grow to multiple levels and of course, your own ambition or your own dreams. So currently I am focusing on my ecommerce at the same time, the overwhelming time of Corbin when my business was just losing business. I have overcome that all my business are back to normal now

There's another holiday which I went with my friends to Ladak. It was a five day trip. But yes, that was one place I would like to visit again. That was one place where I felt so small in front of when I was standing and watching those big mountains. Only thing. You have to be a little more fitter if I want to stay there for long. But overall a great experience. So yes, like that

Hi, Swellers. One thing which comes to my mind when I hear the word that's why food is mud sofa, served with hot chocolate mud cake with ice cream on top of it. The look and the aroma make us eat another one. One of the best deserts which I have ever had. Thanks, Ranjana, for serving us a wonderful dessert with unique quality

Best option for North Indian food in South Indian heartland!

Hi Ranjana. So whenever I was at Kuhambutur, I obviously eat South Indian food there. It's probably the best in the world. And that's what you eat in Koenburg when you are in you are there, right. But after a few days in my stay, the North Indian and me starts craving the usual North Indian fare. So that's when I started looking out for other options in Grandma Tour and there are two places I really like going to for North Indian food

And I had so many questions in my mind. Definitely. I had an answer when I listened to your answers, actually, to say, for example, now the most highly highlighted point is business is the same, but market changes. So this is definitely something that I have to remember always. This is something like a mantra for me the day when I listen to your interview. And thank you so much for your lovely interview and so many questions which I was awaiting and answers for

Hi. Very good evening to you. I am glad that you liked my interview and you heard it twice. I always believe. And whenever I listen to people, even if some of it is insane resting it's long. But the takeovers are very few and that retains in your head. I completely understand when I mentioned that markets are changing. It's all about being relevant, whether it's in your personal life, whether it's in your business relevance is a key to our growth
