Saturday Morning Music Thoughts
So it's Saturday morning and as Saturdays I was trying to get back into cleaning mode when something popped into my head. So when I'm cleaning I often listen to music and yesterday I talked to somebody because I had mentioned or yeah, I had mentioned that I like writing and I like writing stories and I like writing songs. They said that they try to write songs and a thought that I've never really been asked before is they asked me how do you write a song? What's the process?

Hey. These are some really great thoughts about music and songwriting. I really enjoyed listening to this, and I really appreciate that it sounds like the work that you create comes from a very honest place and a place of expression, which I think is the most important. I mean, that is why you do it at all, right?

They actually have four or five pieces of paper that are pre printed, and they also have them on their computers. And they ask a series of questions, and you fill out the questions, and then you try to put those answers into the formula, into a way that makes a rhythm or a melody, and then you turn that into a song. The best songs are the ones that come from deep inside or from people who have experienced portions of their life that they want to share with the world
