How to fund your startup ?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Cain
So let's say you have a crazy idea that you're trying to push up into the world as soon as possible because you see the market cap, but you don't have enough money to fund it. You don't have the capital. I can think of two primary ways that you can actually fund it. First being you take up a corporate job and you work your a** off, save money and use that to fund your idea

Do you want know any other ways to fund an idea ? #startup #idea #funding #technology #grind #hustle

#startup #funding options

I'm not saying that there can't be a roadblock, but it needs to be pretty big for you guys to have a complete blockage of ability to function. And if you just want the funding, don't set it up where they get the shares, just set it up where you get the funding or don't offer footing shares like you have options. But one of the things you look for in an investor, aside from just dumb money is what they actually can offer

@RyanCartier some background and context

But you brought up a lot of good points that I can consider, I think, because I'm from Singapore and the government has a very good grant system for startups. I should look at that before considering anything else. So that's the background that you are looking for

Kane, I have a question. If you're creating an App store, how will you sign the bills? Because what certificate will you use? It is my understanding that the Apple signed certificates for or various types of distribution only work when you come through the App Store or the other distributions are very limited. Right? You don't get an ability to sign a bill and then have it installed all across various devices seamlessly

Then people can install it from our App Store, but they couldn't use it until they actually trust the application from the settings itself. Also, as far as I know, I don't think there is such an application. There is one that exists for the iOS site and the Play Store has multiple, but there's none that hits both

But again, these are factors which are beyond the control of startup, and that's why you should be very careful and see how the environment is in terms of regulations. Before you spend a lot of your time and effort to building something that will never be allowed to run on the platform. I'm also going to add a link to another conversation we had had some time back about Apple's App Store, where we were talking about very similar issues

Maybe that's a crazy thought, but sometimes it's good to have a different idea in mind to just think through when you get stuck on other things. But the thing about it that may help you in marketing is if you can do that and the people who house who has your different platform nodes can get let's say you're doing 20%, but you give them one or 2%

You might decide you want to go in a totally different direction and pivot also, but that learning will come through the execution and application of building it and trying to market it and the feedback you receive from all of that. So you might also want to look up the Lien Startup as a book by Eric Rees, and it is excellent. It's really thorough all the way through startup methodology. It covers issues that you will need to experience. It covers rapid deployment

Thank you for all the inputs on your side. I really do value them. Now. I'm curious, what do you do? How do you have so much knowledge on the business side and the tech side? How much have you been through to actually know so much
