The importance of supporting characters prt 1

article image placeholderUploaded by @Byrdseyeview
He is a very interesting character because he's serious about the art of martial arts and teaching them the way of fighting and defending the village. But he's also kind of a goofball on the other side. So he kind of keeps things fresh, he keeps things fun, but he also can be very serious. And I think that's kind of his element of surprise against his enemies and everything, also against his pupils as well

They may show up and suddenly things will get much worse, but it's kind of a clue that something new is happening. And the story I'm working on right now is a short story that I'm playing with that is very, very much about a character who feels extremely isolated. So it's kind of wild because there are secondary characters, but they almost don't ever appear in the story. You just know about them

Hey, Romie, thanks so much for your feedback on that. That was awesome. Yeah, I agree with sometimes the secondary character can be a lot more fun than the main protagonist because they kind of add an extra human element to it that's outside of the narrative, but yet part of the narrative. So it's almost like like they represent the audience in a way, some of them do. Some of them are still directly involved with what's going on with it, with the plot
