Quick poll Swell!

Hello. So is this to be like an audible version of a Facebook post I'm trying to picture in my mind. I'll throw this up on a wall somewhere for other people to hear and for me to put a little question to the community if I may. And I'm trying not to do P sounds into my microphone because it makes it loud. I'm not going to make an example of it, but I'm trying to do that. So I'll work on my presentation here

What is your personality type/communication style? @Rose

Welcome to the sandbox of Swell #stretch #play #connect

Brooke, you're funny. I like your vibe. I think you hit something on the head around. You know what is an introvert? What is an extrovert when we label ourselves as such? Is it a flag we're waving from our ship, or is it something else, a vanity plate on our car? Sometimes I wonder when we share who we are in that way, it puts forth expectations or something. It's very interesting

So I really like this app, and I like that I'm getting out there and I like that I feel like I'm improving a little bit with my communication. Yeah. Welcome and Hi to somebody else who maybe not be as up to speak. And you said, great writers and readers. Are you a writer and a reader? I would love to hear what kind of writing you do and what kind of reading you like

@Rose

I'm a blabber mouth once I get comfortable. I get... too comfortable.

I like talking on apps, but it's usually with people who I'm Super Super close to. I'll send a lot of voice messages, but they'll be really short so I can control what's in it, and it's easier to listen to because you can listen to what you want when you want. I separate thoughts into different voice messages. So like, one thought, one voice message

Answer to question! @Brooke415

So I took theater and acting really helped because when I find myself in an awkward position and that could be just around anybody talking face to face or large crowds, I can always become a character. And then it's not really not me up there. So that really helps me be able to communicate in public. But I use other forms, such as right now using Swell. But I also use social media. So whether it be Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn

Great question @Brooke415 , and your voice is peaceful and had an NPR vibe.

Sorry about that. I had to delete the first one. The sound was all messed up. One of the greatest things about platforms like this is the Anonymity. And it provides anyone with a voice, anyone at all. And the same time that's the bad thing about platforms like this is anyone can get on here. And honestly, anyone can Ray anything they want. You got to take the good with the bad, I guess. And I love your voice

Look forward to hearing your further casts

Hey, Brooke, How's it going? I must say, I really like your voice. You've got a very cool voice and some good humor. I love the way you deliver that as well. Very cool. It's kind of unique. I'm also, like you said, loving all the different voices on here, all different types of people. And I found that with voice platforms, the one thing I have found with voice platforms, which I like to mention opposed to Facebook

My reply to @mark cut off. Re: speech: good job getting a laugh! Agn, ty 😁

But for you, when you described talking to a room like that, all I could picture was that it's the effect of media where people are used to just being passive recipients of information and not giving a response to a television screen or a computer screen and that they would just automatically switch into passive mode and does not give you any feedback. Am I still recording where I left off? Because Swell just totally interrupted me. Oh, I think I'm about to erase what I just recorded

It was weird because I wasn't on a stage. It was in a private members club. So they were all the same. I didn't have a microphone, and they were all the same on the same level as me. Kind of crowded around me. I could only see the people that were right in front of me. And those were the ones that were just giving me this. They were just looking at me. There was no reaction. And that's kind of strange

INTJ= Direct, Responding, and movement communication style.

My personality type. Well, I actually know the letters to it. I don't think anybody else here said it INTJ. And Mark R. He is the ENFP. I know that because I hadn't taken the test a while ago and some of these others I haven't really oh, I know that Miranda is in INFJ, and I know Brooke, you're in INFJ, and that's just of the ones that I know

But before that, I think I might have been actually an introvert. I don't know why it changed, but I did. I think it might have been because I got into sales as a profession, and also I was an actor. But then I started doing it more full time. And as that happened, I became more comfortable with putting myself out there. And now it just feels more natural to me than being an introvert. I guess it's because I was on the cusp

Ai Ya as Unc Roger says, sound quality! So bad! Lol sorry but thx @Dewuan

That was all about NPTI, and they were all experts. It was so fascinating to talk about how to navigate the workplace and know people's types and how to communicate to different types where they're at to be more effective. I don't know how it came up, but I was like, oh, it's like love languages. You have to speak their language so that they can understand you. And that's not a direct metaphor. Is that what you're saying?

I hope this isn't clear. I hope I don't have to rerecord the other one. Just try and listen real hard. Put on your thinking ears. No, you're listening. Ears. Good night. Sorry

But at the same time, we can struggle at times with needing to get all of the necessary information before we can conclude on any particular idea or thought. What Ray said about that, I think the sensation that Ray is experiencing is that as you get older in life, you tend to expand more upon functions that you're not really good at. And as you mature, you get older, you get wiser
