Help! I've been duped by cuteness 🐼

However, I still am uncertain if I could live in a world without pandas. Now hear me out for a second because it's not because I just think pandas are really adorable, and I have been brainwashed into thinking that we should spend billions and billions of dollars into conserving them. But I do feel an ickiness and a strangeness about actively taking part in a choice to let a species die off

So I have something to add here. I've been watching this video by my favorite comedian, George Carlin. Maybe calling him comedian is not right. Maybe I should call him a philosopher or something because his thoughts are profound. So in one of his performances, he talks about how humans should not mess with nature, how we are trying to play God by trying to conserve species. Nature has decided course, it's natural course for every species

I like that you took this philosophical angle because it immediately made me aware of, like the food chain and how most of us would go to great lengths to preserve human life. Right? The people that we love and care about, whether they are lacking in resources or sick or whatever might diminish their livelihood

Oh, also, I guess I should add in the particular case of the Panda, if the biggest reason they are endangered is because they seem to not want to procreate or do not procreate easily, then do we have less of a responsibility in that case? But if it is because of the procreation issue, but also, I don't know how much they have been impacted as a species by human behavior as well
