But it made me realize that I generally have sought female and queer filmmakers out as someone who's interested in film. And it's part of what ties into the conversation I started earlier this week about are the Oscars still relevant and why I generally don't watch them, because often the artists and filmmakers being represented aren't representative of the artists I'm primarily interested in and that I end up finding on my own
