#Adulting πŸ™‡πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

article image placeholderSwell - Listen to Life
So this swell from Shaz made me laugh so hard and it made me want to start a conversation around adulting. And if you think being an adult is better than being a kid, depending on the day my thoughts on this vary. So would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on adulting. Is it worth it, or should we just stay big kids

Well, there's no question in my mind, Rachel childhood was the best time of all our lives. The fact that we had summer vacation, two to three months of not having a care in the our lives, of being fed and just playing and having fun. Just that is worth its weight in gold. And to have had that for years, more than a decade. Oh, my God, I would give anything for that

Yes, I agree with you. And also if I were to run for President, I would make it so that everyone has summer vacation. And the reason I would want that is because all I want to do every summer is be outside all day reading books and maybe drinking a lemonade and eating an occasional ice cream comb. That sounds like the best summer ever. It was when I was a kid, and I still think I would enjoy it just as much as an adult

Hi, Rachel. I think I've made my point in the previous well, it's also, you know what my answer would be, but this is like the main point. So humans are big babies. So the links to the video actually explains about a term called neoteny, which means retaining a lot of childlike characteristics into adulthood. And out of all the primates humans exhibit this the most and how our skulls don't change as much as compared to other primates

@Shaz thank youuuuu 🐣

Wow. I ended up watching this entire video because it made me laugh. And it was so interesting to watch the whole thing with all the Disney characters and just cartoon evolution over time. And also more about how childlike features and curiosity helps us. It also made me think a lot about why things like inner child work or reparenting are really successful therapeutic tools

I believe that there are just a few things that kids need to know before they leave the house. And if they don't know this, they probably shouldn't be in College. Number one. If you can't Cook at least one meal for yourself, if you can't do your laundry, you probably shouldn't be going to College. And you should figure that out first
