Need GarageBand help please

Okay, so I got a new MacBook Pro, and I got the new garage band. And as a podcaster, well, it took me a while to learn the new garage band and where things are. But now the bigger issue is the settings for the voice. If there are any podcasters out here, if you could please tell me what would be a good voice setting. I have the Reverb and all of that at zero. But those EQ settings you have the low mid high

Voice settings? EQ settings?

Often you'll see articles that have to do with mixing and equalizing vocals for songs or music tracks, but I like that this one specifically talks about EQ in relation to podcasting and just the spoken voice. So I just wanted to link here because I thought it was a really great overview and a good reminder if you're someone like me that has done some reading about EQ before, but it's not something that you're working with every single day, so it's definitely not hammered into my brain

Thank you @rachel. Keep the advice coming!

There is what I'm trying to sort out that it's not a full blown chart for, like, one segment of time. It's for the whole podcast that the chart is. So that was kind of interesting to me, because when a chart goes from left to right, you think it's okay at a given. You think time is going from left to right, but it's really not. It's just stating what the planes of the hurts and the sounds heard and things like that

Is, there are different voice filters that are actually really fun to play around with, because you can immediately hear what the effect is on the audio. And also, if you look at the waveform view and audition, you can see the impact it's having on the waveform as well, which I think can be insightful

E Reader All The Way

Hey, you did a pretty good job with the episode. I thought about getting an Ereader as well, so, yeah, pretty good job. Way to go. This is only my second episode that I listened to you of so far, and I like how you sound, all right, all the best. Take care. Bye

Thank you. Working on getting better. @york, @rachel

Thank you so much for everyone who's put in information on this conversation because I've learned a lot about EQ as and a lot of it is not so much of enhancing what you have, but taking out a lot of the negative stuff in your recording. So that really helped me because I was able to put it like a high pass filter and a low pass filter. And I think I got the sound better because the original sound was just, oh my gosh
