I am a racist!

If you guys have not read this book, seriously, it should be required reading for every human being. I mean, I can't even tell you how much you guys need to go out right now. Forget other swell and just go read the book. But anyway, so it's cast breeze Isabel Wilkerson, and it talks about the caste system and racism in America. I mean, of course, the book doesn't mention racism, but it talks about how the different races are actually different casts

Editing recorded bookclub. To edit content or not edit. That is the question. @ErinBeaver @bowie @loribpalmer

Hey, Shahnaz, thanks again for bringing up Cast the book. I have been procrastinating on it, but I took your advice and just ordered the book as I was listening to you as well. So thanks for the nudge. My simple answer is no, no. I personally don't think you should edit it off your podcast, because if it's a total non negotiable, then I guess you don't have a choice

And so there were times where he would say after we were done, hey, man, could you go pull that part out? Because I feel like that could be taken the wrong way. And unfortunately, we live in an atmosphere now where no one's allowed to grow. No one's allowed to say things jokingly that in any other time period would just be received the way they were intended. People are looking to cancel people. People are looking to punish people

I don't know anything about podcasting, but I'm wondering if you guys may be faced with some legal issues, and maybe if you need disclaimers before you publish the conversation that you're having with with somebody. So I would really check into that just from a legal point of view to make sure that you are allowed to rebroadcast the conversation that you've had with someone

So I wouldn't start that's that mess. That's crap. Anyone who continues to ask for edits, they probably don't belong in your discussion. I'll leave it at that

@Karan.Dev, @AverageJoe Thank you EVERYONE!!!

Everyone else's statements and long pauses, all that crazy little edit stuff, make it smooth, do everything else, and then sit there and break my head over this last final edit. And that's the plan. And I want to thank you all for your responses. And, oh, I'm really excited, Karen and Joe, that you both are starting cast. I know, Karen, you said you bought the book. This is great, Joe, I'm excited you're starting cast

What level of editing happens on other podcasts that we aren’t aware of?

Hello, everyone listening to all these swells. Got me thinking about what level of editing is done on podcasts in general. Like, Shannon, I know on your podcast, you let it off the U's and the UMS and things like that. But what about other podcasts and think about how many videos we watch online or things we listen to and how much editing is done on those. I mean, that's why I'm always a skeptic, right?

@loribpalmer

And what I mean by listener mode is I would think, how would this sound if I was listening to this? And the reason I would ask myself that question, we would cover a variety of subjects through every podcast. And if I felt that okay, this was strong. But then we kind of went on a little too long. I would cut a huge chunk of it out that I didn't feel like that. It moved anything along, didn't contribute any value

So it was tricky at it that way because topics change. And it's like, how do you go because of sentences have a sentence structure and all of that. But yeah, C. Joe, I ramble, too. So anyway, I'll talk to you guys later. Bye

I don't know if you gave that heads up, but if you didn't definitely edit the podcast, but if you did give them a warning that everything that's on here stays on here, then I suggest you go with the flow and just let that podcast stay up there. So that's my answer. You sound very authentic and you're real. And I hope that you stay real. Okay. Thank you so much for your podcast. It's awesome. I'm going to follow you

@Enfinit Thank you 🙏🏽

Internet. Thank you so much for coming on and replying. And thank you for that compliment. I'm just immensely humbled. I'm kind of like, wow, and I'll be very honest. US other are times. I just feel like a fake half the time. So when you say, wow, you are so authentic, you sound real. And I'm going, no, I'm not

I don't think it'll kill the whole image of the show. You just nip that in the bud after this right here to assure that your s*** isn't getting screwed up because they print somebody cover along and you have made it abundantly clear and still wants it removed. Now that's a whole other level
