What Media Format will chatGPT and AI bring back that was formerly obsolete?

Media theorist Marshall Mcluhan, back in the his laws of Media, stated that all new media and technology brings back a former obsolete media and technology. For instance, podcasting has brought back law, long form interview, radio style. And then with the advent of digital books, everybody wanted to go to libraries and read physical books. And physical book sales have actually soared in the past few years

I love my records. So I'm all here for this trend of bringing things back. I've always had to have a physical copy of a book and yeah, I'm really curious to look further into this. And I'm all in for bringing old things back. Even I know not a new artist, but the artist McLamore is coming out with like a tape cassette. Thanks again for sharing this

Hey, Bob. I love your thinking around this, and I'm looking forward to watching how we handle this. And some of your sort of reflections on the past and then projections into the future are so astute. And it caused me, of course, to go to listen to your ted talk about grief, collective grief. And I definitely want to have a separate conversation with you about that conversation. So I'll hit you up. Welcome to swell

Hey there. Thanks for responding, and I'm with you, and I resonate with tactile things that cause us to engage. It's no wonder that the sales of books have skyrocketed since the Kindle has come out, and things like vinyl continue to do well and sell as it re emerges from its death throws. But that's the way that all new technology causes things to be. It pulls things back that were apparently obsolete
