So even if you lack artistic skills, you can still create effective ads by focusing on developing insightful ideas and presenting them clearly, utilizing simple illustrations and carefully chosen words to convey your message, and always critically evaluate your ideas. Because art is not the image, art is the idea

So I have a question for you. Within the context of marketing, this makes sense to me. I'm wondering, outside of marketing, do you still hold this thought to be, quote, unquote true?

Well, you can give a paintbrush to an elephant and they can swap some things on canvas, and you could say, that's amazing art, but it doesn't hold the emotional reach or maybe touch the senses the way, say, the human ingenuity behind a piece of work does. So to me, the art has to begin with the idea. It has to begin with the thought process. It has to begin with how things are arranged

It's the there's an image in my head, the turn an hourglass on its side. And that central point there, I think, is where I'm thinking of art at the moment. But anyway, I really like the way that you put that. Thank you

I want to be able to experience it for me. So I guess for me, art is an experience. That's my perspective on it. Thank you for sharing. It's really cool

I totally get that. And maybe that's another way of saying that art isn't the final product or the actual work of art itself. Meaning the painting that hangs on the wall or in a museum, and the result is the art. But actually the feeling. Like you said, the idea, everything about it, the whole human experience, from concept to delivery, when the person is gone and even dead, maybe for hundreds, if not thousands of years, the whole unseen behind the sculpture

Okay. Yes. This is exactly what I was meaning, and I'm so glad that you picked up on it. It's like the energy that goes into it, all that love that goes into it. Right. Because I just imagine the person who's making the sculpture or making the painting or making whatever it was, the mosaic, whatever, their love and their passion for what they do is what really brings it to life for me. And it's not so much about the finished product

Bob, what a really great idea. What a really great discussion you have going on here. I'm a magician and you know what what is what is the art of magic? I mean, it's it's something that happens. Tangibly yes. I mean, we we see magic trick, we hear a magic trick, we we observe and we watch and we're wondered, we're filled with wonder and amazement

And thank you for your post. I love the magician perspective. And I would also say, too, and maybe you meant and implied this just as much as it's an idea of the receiver and viewer perspective, the idea of being astonished and believing the unbelievable, as you said, it also art from the magician's perspective that the illusion comes with an idea
