Decision Fatigue is real! Here are some tips to help.

So let's talk about decision fatigue. Working from home causes us to have more things to do and more decisions. We can't just leave it all. It's right there with us. So for example, in addition to work items, I may be thinking about picking up a child from school or dropping them off at school, or running errands during lunch. Maybe picking up the house a bit before spouse or roommate comes home walking the dog. This creates something called cognitive load

Yeah, this is huge. I've actually been struggling with this for, like, the past, honestly, since the beginning of the year. And then a couple of weeks ago, I started doing that. Planning my weeks on Sunday, or at least the first, I don't know, planning, like, three days ahead a little bit

And I'm telling you, there's stacks of work that I just can't get to because I'm home and the dogs need to go out or I need to go grocery shopping, or everybody in the house needs something because they're all working full time out of the house. So I thought I think I was more organized and got more accomplished at work and at home when I had more of a set schedule

So life is, in some ways, a little bit easier now, and it can be much harder if you're in a younger busier family. But all of those points really do make a difference. I appreciate you putting those out there, and I wanted to respond that those things really do help me as well. So thank you
