As an organizational psychologist and psychology professor for over 15 years, I've found that individuals with internal motivation do a lot better than individuals who need the recognition from society, need the support from society to be successful. Money doesn't buy happiness, but money does buy contentment. So why shouldn't motivation equal success? When you're motivated only by money, only by things, you're not trying to achieve these things with the right reward in mind. The reward is internal
It's very it's got a good sentiment to it. And I appreciate all you're saying. I particularly liked what you said in regards to money can't buy happiness, but it can buy contentment. I like that. I've never heard of that. Contentment is huge. Contentment is acceptance. To me, contentment is peace. And contentment, I think, is a baseline that I strive for. So happiness is always great when it's possible
