Multiple Streams of Income

If you look at the people in your immediate circle of friends, they should be similar in income, similar in homeowner status, vehicle status, all these different factors. Oftentimes it's similar in kids, too, because you tend to hang out with people and make friends with people who have similar interests. And if you have children, they have children. So you can do family things together. So that was the first thing if you want to be successful in business

This is such a good reminder that two things can happen at once. Also, when you do these gig experiences, when you just sit at a table or you do a quick DoorDash, you're also just filling your life with something that might be really novel that you wouldn't have experienced if you stayed on your one lane. And there's so much there to putty out there to indulge in. So many people to meet

And I believe I can achieve it. I'm committed to doing the work to achieve it. And I now embrace the concept of multiple streams of income and how to navigate that. I laugh now because when I speak with others who aren't aware and they don't know from I'm not even going to say ignorant standpoint, but more just knowledge deficit, they don't know just like I didn't know. And they'll say, well, what do you do?

And unfortunately, I feel bad that I've taught my older daughter some of my tricks. She's 26 years old and she said, well, how do you do all your grading? Because she's in school to be she's working on her terminal degree to teach English at university. She goes, how do you find time to grade when you have the day job? I said, well, the secret is to be the boss

And when I was led to start the business, an internal desire to start it, I wanted a name that really spoke to the journey to the essence of being a survivor and not just from domestic violence, from life, from everything that life gives us in surviving and navigating that. And the first word that came to mind was resilience. And from doing research on the word resilience I was directed to through my search Sisu

Completely agree

You can drive 11 hours a day, and that's pretty much what we drove. If you can get to ten and a half, 10 hours, 45 minutes, like, how close to the truck stop are you? Can you get before the clock runs out? So it was a good job, but I think when you're young and you're stupid, that's when you do the hard jobs. Truck driving, I consider probably a hard job

Multiple streams of income is so important

I mean, we've had jobs where we've made just two people working. They made 52 grand in less than 30 days with two guys working. But it's what, you know, see, if you don't know how to remediate mold and you do it wrong, you're going to put yourself in the hospital. The same thing for the person doing living in the mold. Mold is pretty bad for you guys, no matter what they want to tell you
