Rant on engagement pods

article image placeholderUploaded by @Binati_Sheth
I'm so hopeful when I enter into these groups and it's like clockwork. It's amazing. And then the links begin. I really hope we get over our fascination with internet likes and comments. I understand why people pay so much importance to attention online because ultimately, yes, we all want to be heard. We all want to be listened to. We all want people to like our work, check our workout, et cetera, et cetera

Why do content creators do this? #Sayitonswell #WritingAndBeyond #contentcreation #contentmarketing

But this cycle, I think it's a vicious cycle because creators, many of them expect monetization in some form or the other. And for platforms, monetization would mean only through engagement. So it's a vicious circle. And I think this is a phase. And gradually this whole thing will die down. And I think the only people who will remain are probably those who are able to connect with their audience in the true sense and who are not carried away by these short term carrots

Once you are involved in a pod type situation and you see what that does to your engagement, you're like, this is nice. I like this. I did a very s***** post, but it still has. Wow. I hope it gets better for sure. Yeah. I try to not bite the carrot as much as I possibly can, but sometimes it just happens unconsciously. I don't know why. I really don't know
