Where does the art end - Farewell my Concubine

article image placeholderUploaded by @Binati_Sheth
But then watching this movie made me realize, oh, we never really know how obsessed we are till we reach that point where it is impossible to deny. And by that point, it's too late. So my question for you to Israel is where do you think the art ends and the artist begins? Because the art and the artist are two separate entities. If we separate the art and the artist for the bad stuff, why don't we separate it for the healthy stuff either?

And listening to this. Well, I think you've changed my mind. I used to think sort of roughly, but not necessarily in depthly, that you could separate the art from the artist. If we can't separate the artist from their environment, their experiences, the upbringing, the influences, et cetera, then how can we separate what they create from the person, the art, the artist?

And that makes matters much more complicated for me because there are so many artists that have gone out and said some abhorrent things, but I still consume their art because, oh, yeah, I'm separating the art and the artist, then I don't think I can yeah. So mind f*****

Yeah, I enjoy creating art, but my art is not the kind that really captures anyone that way. This most definitely does not capture me in that way. It doesn't move me. The process is what I appreciate. Right. But this other kind of art, I think it's born of that blendedness of the light and the dark

And then between the artistry and the algorithm is where the balance lies, right? And currently it is difficult to find the balance because we definitely need to make money. And many people are not full time artists. All the writers I know, they all have even like the best seller OG bestseller, the kind who sell millions of copies of books even they have some full time job or a business, right?

I thank you. I appreciate you like the just the encouragement because well, for one, it's nice to hear an outside perspective with respect to people engaging in the conversations that I hope to start when I put a swell out, but also the encouragement to put out the topic because I've dabbled here and there over the years. But then I second guess doing it again or it's immaterial. I think it would be a good, interesting conversation and that's the best part
