But then I still don't have an answer to my question, which is, is it possible to know facts about fiction? So please enlighten me. I would love to hear your opinions about this, because, yeah, of course there's no answer to this question. I feel it's only opinion minutes. So

@Binati_Sheth Fun question!

I think, like, any time we're talking about truth or fiction, right, it's too ephemeral, it's too blurry. It's not a concise box with an exact white or black answer inside the box. Just cannot be. It's not as simple as zero or one. That binary of something being a quote unquote fact, true or false. It's not that simple. I think we get as close as we can to anything

The story has an amazing, unique, well established philosophical or methodological background which gives it the vertical depth. And it also has widespread story taking place in a complex world with multiple plot lines that are simultaneously happening with much left to the reader's imagination, that can be fully imagined in response to the main story, which gives it a sort of horizontal depth as well. Game of Thrones, Doon and Harry Potter a lot of the Rings are all classic examples

But, you know, it's it's like I think Twitter and lot of Microsoft Media has given voices to sentiments, has given attention to people who I feel disgusting saying this, so I'm not going to because I'm being very biased, I know. So, yeah, every time I hear people go capped truth with the capital T because these are words people use to exaggerate things. And as a reader, they lose me immediately because I'm rolling my eyes

I think you did. Loki, answer my question, because you said, like, two words that lit up something in my head. Tolkien scholars. You're absolutely right. There is a subgenre of experts in this world who literally delve into, like, works of literature and try to basically shred the work apart and look for any and every message that was intentionally or unintentionally embedded within the work
