Does the Caste system really matter to you?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Bendi_G
Still, because of the views of fathers about who their daughters can marry or who their sons can date, not date, but be in a relationship with as well. People look down on people. It's caused a problem with a friendship recently where one of the friends has broken her friendship with a lifelong friend because of the boy who's currently her boyfriend and how she looks down on him, because if he's of a certain background

Does the caste system play a role in your life? Influence your life choices? Does it really matter to you? #india #askswell

Hi Bendig. I hope you are doing very well. I feel my feelings are mixered. You know, I can't express because I'm hearing a very you know, a very shameful thing of Indian history tree that is cast system that prevails in India. So I'm a foreigner, so I feel like shame. Anyway, there is no issue. You choose a really great topic because we need to make a discussion on the topic. And yeah, I want to say car system

And maybe the car system, but I don't want to judge, is a remnant of a time when we weren't necessarily always so respectful. I don't know, because the car system is so entrenched in the culture and tradition that maybe there is more to it than what many of us see as simply something that is divisive

And when I tell them I don't have a surname, how can it be that you don't have a surname, you don't have father, you don't have families. And why do they ask surname? Is it a part of identity? And if it is a part of identity, why our identity is linked to something like hierarchy, lower or higher cost? Why? So that also actually bothers me a lot. And thank you for that, this wonderful swell

And basing it on your last name is another level of the way of people discriminating against each other on the sort of question that I had. And as you being Indian, you may know about this or you may have a view on this. Our questions never asked about inbred issues. In fact, if you're only going to marry somebody of the same last name, then it must therefore be an awful lot of inbreeding, which therefore causes a lot of hereditary birth defects and problems in people

But later I was wondering because my cousin said that my cousin was talking to the guard, let's see if she's my sister and she has gotten married to someone else and taking some mother's name, how do you expect that a brother and sister's name would be similar? And that too in a country like India?

It occurs more in Muslims and then in Christianity and then communities like Parsi community, Syrian Christians, very specific kind of community. So in, those are like okay with it because we have so many cars, and within that car we have so many go through. So the more you are related, the similar your Gothra will be. And we never marry like Hindus never marry within Goethe
