Making yourself happy. More important than finding someone who makes you happy?

article image placeholderUploaded by @Bendi_G
They are so addicted to each other, he cannot imagine a life without her. They are constantly messaging each other, talking to each other constantly in each other's lives. Twenty four, seven. That he cannot focus on anything else virtually. He cannot focus on the things he needs to be at his point in his life. He's 21 years old. On creating and forging his future and his career because he's so dependent on another for his happiness

Finding your own happiness as opposed to relying on others to find it for you or to supply it to you. Which is more important? What’s your experience?

You. Hi, Garrett. Lovely post you posted. It's very true. It's very, very, very important to make ourselves happy more than any other person. So liked your post. Like the way you said the things. Wonderful post. Thank you so much. Keep posting

I was gonna say, I wish I'd had someone like you in my life at that age. But upon reflection, I had a few. I just wasn't willing or ready to hear what they had to say. And I don't think that in North America anyway, that the culture helped. I don't know what it's like there, but here it's like you're seeking the one, someone to complete you fulfill. You be your other half

I'm just telling you again, yes, I certainly think in India, this concept of needing another, being dependent on another for your wholeness and completeness in your life, is probably even worse here than in North America. I mean, bearing in mind that arranged marriage is still something that the majority of Indians still go through, that it's just a rite of passage and it's done to you, not even something that you choose for yourself
