Why do You Listen to Podcasts?

article image placeholderUploaded by @belle
Of course, I was neither as Google as them, nor were my podcasts as perfect as theirs, so I simply stopped making them and didn't make them for more than a year before I started making them again in College. And now you're listening to one of those episodes which I made post hiatus. But I have a question. Why do we like listening to strangers speak? Is it because we love learning new things as we go about our lives? Is it because we constantly seek distractions?

So it basically depends on each mentality. Few may lessen it for making new friends and few may really mean it. So I would love to say that I listen them to make new friends as well as gain knowledge and learn new things since I love them

Even though I can't really pinpoint a particular reason for why. Why, why why do you listen to podcasts? It's more about, you know, like people talking about relatable stuff, the reason why we listen to music, right most of the time, or even read poetry. That okay. Someone else has felt what I'm feeling right now or someone else has dealt with what I'm dealing with right now

And thank you for this opportunity. When the swell thing came up, I didn't know that it was about making podcasts. I knew that I had to do something with my voice, but I didn't know about what the app did or what I was expected to do in this thing. And I got in without knowing. And it really matters a lot now because had stopped making podcasts a long time ago. And as I said in this particular episode, I probably wasn't going to come back

It was nice listening to you. So I listen to podcasts because I like learning new things as some people read books, watch shows and to get information. I am am comfortable with the listening to babies and I consider myself as a good listener

While doing all these things, everyone has their own reasons of listening to it or of doing anything. And for me, I listen to podcasts. First because I don't have anything else to do. And second, because I am constantly in search of new ideas and talks. And sometimes in podcasts people are more real than in writings

I would say there are two main reasons I listen to podcasts. Number one is to expand my imagination. I really appreciate being being taken on a voyage into someone else's imagination and visiting a fictional world and spending time in the universe of another artist. Most of the podcasts I've listened to are not people talking about specific content. They are, in fact, dramas or comedies taking place in imagined cities and worlds. Sometimes it's science fiction, sometimes it's horror, sometimes it's farce

Hi. Yeah, I think different people have different reasons of listening to podcasts. I personally prefer listening to podcasts after having a tough day, perhaps as a way of unwinding. I generally listen to podcasts on and science or the paranormal or lifestyle and sometimes urban Legends and storytelling. So, yeah, I may expand my horizon in the future, but I appreciate you for listening to so many types of podcasts. And thanks for listening. Have a good day or night. Bye

To be honest, I started listening to podcasts to improve the way I speak, to learn from random strangers, the art of speaking and expressing ourselves. But as my journey started, I realized podcasts are much more than that. They can be your best friends and you are anytime. Go to person. And this is the main reason why I joined Swell and I'm happy with this spectacular journey of mine

Also, I listen to funny ones because I just like to laugh and they're really funny. But also when there's multiple people doing a podcast, it kind of feels like I'm in a room full of friends and I'm just sort of listening to them having a funny conversation. And it's really nice. You could just sit back and listen and enjoy it. I also listen to this one podcast called Morbid, and it's about true crime
