The Road To Hell Is Sometimes Paved With Dumb Ideas

That sounds pretty f****** racist to me. It reminds me of the old saying about the road to h*** being paved with good intentions. This woman thinks she's doing something Noble, but instead she's saying something pretty disgusting. We all understand the situation at hand, and it's terrible. But the suggestion that one calling the police after black people have committed crimes somehow makes them racist is simply absurd

I think that gives an opportunity to the cops and all the people that are going to follow up on this instant into really understanding why these people did what they did and maybe working with them to fix that problem. When we get a problem, we're given an opportunity to fix it. And I think that's where many people are misconstrued is that they look at it as just a problem that needs to be fixed and it's oversimplified

Both parties were...? @AverageJoe

So I may have missed it, but I'm just guessing based on the things that you've said that both parties in the video were white

Another wondow into our deeper problem #ignorance

But the idea of filming it and wanting to get that endorphin rush to put it up there and kind of create a buzz and create this sort of cacophony of voices that are coming from left, right, center, up, down. I feel like we need to pause right now when it comes to cluttering the Internet with anything that's not going to move us forward

But here a crime clearly took place. According to him, the gentleman signed the paper complied. They were happy to be let go without any criminal charges. And to me, that's more of the thing. We don't even know what they stole. They may have stolen something very simple and ridiculous. And maybe this was the proper outcome. It's when we overcharge for minor offenses. That's when things get a little sketchy. But anyway, that's all my expanded thoughts on the matter

But that's really more the crux of the issue here is this desire to be an Internet hero that is causing so much of this, I think is the biggest problem of all

Slightly different perspective but hear me out.

Okay, average Joe. So here is where I probably get called the crazy leftist, but that's okay. I'm going to provide a sort of alternate story here that's kind of along the same lines, but slightly different, something that actually actually happened to me. And I just want to share the story and how I responded to it to provide a little bit of different perspective

I appreciate the many perspectives here.

It's not that dumb of a video. I don't think she looks that foolish because we're talking about it. Her objective was completed. She did get a certain level of notoriety from it, and we're discussing it. We're giving different, complex views on it. Callie Groove just mentioned a situation that happened to him that he had a connection with somewhat into this story. So these things are important to happen

Most of the time, we would be able to get product back because we call them out. Generally, it was kids. And I can't even tell you that it was black people. When I worked at Borders, it was white people, white kids stealing books. So yeah, I also agree that I think people do want the notoriety

Deduct two of the $0.03 for all the ohms, I will eventually get this

He needs to be more responsible with their wellbeing than they do, which again, feels very cringy and racist to me, as if white people have to be more conscious of what could happen to a black person than the black person committing the crime does. That is just the top shelf of lunacy to me. And again, I get it
